DePaul +24.5 (-110), 1*

I know DePaul is horrible. I know UConn beat them by 29 already. I am betting this for the same reason I bet Butler last night. Butler just missed getting a cover. I think DePaul can stay within the number. UConn should get DePaul’s best shot being the number one team in the country, whatever DePaul’s best shot entails. UConn hosts Marquette on Saturday. UConn wins that game and they are up three games on Marquette in the conference. This is an easy game to overlook or at least not have your best stuff.

I lean Arkansas, but I don’t know if I can stomach DePaul and Arkansas at the same time. The only good team Arkansas hung around with in a losing effort in conference was Kentucky. They lost that game by 6. They have lost to Auburn by 32, Florida by 22, South Carolina by 13, Ole Miss by 26 and LSU by 21.

Sorry guys, rough day. Those four bets I added went 0-4. Guess I should have left them on the cutting room floor. I am considering Ohio State and St. John’s tomorrow. I will update in the morning and try to close this week out the right way.

St. John’s -5.5 (-115), 1*

I am going to stick with these two bets. Shop around for the best line in these games. If you like Purdue, you can get -8. If you like Ohio State, you can get 8.5 or even 9 at one place. Same with the other game. You should be able to get -5.5 most places if you like the Johnnies. However, DK has Seton Hall +6 with only -105 odds. It always pays to have multiple options when betting.

I might add Rutgers. Let’s see how Ohio State goes. Good luck!

I lean Mississippi Valley State plus the points. I will leave that one alone and stick with the favorites today.

Creighton +3 (-110), 1*
Nevada -14 (-112), 2*

Two unit play on Nevada. Revenge game for them after Wyoming upset Nevada earlier this season. Second straight road game for Wyoming. I love this spot for Nevada to get a big win. As for Creighton, I have to bet them today. UConn has answered the bell over and over again, but this is a spot that has tripped up plenty of good teams. They hosted a top five team and smoked them, now they play another ranked team on the road three days later. Creighton already lost to UConn a few weeks ago by 14. UConn just smothered them on defense in that game. It will be hard for UConn to replicate that intensity, although they have showed up for every game except the one at Seton Hall. This is a spot bet that I have to make.

Almost got the sweep last night. The Houston game felt like it was an 8-10 point game for much of the second half. Still ended up with a profitable night. I would like to bet BYU tonight. I am going to wait and see if the line drops below -4 or a heavily juiced -3.5. GL
