ok so your roof leaks...could be major...could be minor...

first question i would have is, where is the evidence...leaky ceiling maybe?

what kind of roof do you have? standard ashpalt shingles? cedar shake shingles?...flat tar roof?

do you have access to your attic space above the ceiling?

I can't tell you much until you post your problem in a more descriptive manner.

Seems to me this guy is just trying to be helpful, and got a very poor reception.

I Have a question about a project I'm thinking of doing, would love another opinion, but will wait until after X-mas, when I can do a digital photo of it.

I know the way I lean to doing it, but would welcome a 2nd opinion once I can photograph it.

I can't believe this guy received the Bum's rush !

I'm a woodworker/cabinetmaker and been doing it my whole working life. Even though I'm in one of the best trades (except for the pay)...the trades suck.

Beats me why this guy was run off the forum !

I don't blame him if never posts again !

I'm the US coin expert here, will freely give my advice on that subject. I'd be pretty pissed off if , if I wasn't taken seriously when I advise somebody on that.

There are people here with many areas of expertise that will help you for free, they should be thanked, for sharing.

Getting a draft from under my front door and under the windows (that go down to the floor) right next to the front door on both sides. How can I take care of this? The wife has a big blanket there right now but, that looks like shit.

if they sell shirts, i guess i could get them...graduated Shepard High School.1995.

At major home improvement stores they ,to put in laymans terms...a one sticky sided piece of soft plastic/rubber to put under your door to create a better seal between bottom of door and door jam.
Also some door jams have a rubber gasket which can rot out and can be replaced.
As far as the windows go....I am not sure if the air is getting thru from where the windows shut or otherwise....Either way a gap can be minnimized with the above solution, or you can plastic the window with a kit from hardware store.....

First year i was at my home a replaced all my electrical outlets....At this time i bought little gaskets to put behind the coverplates...Checking for airleaks anywhere in your home is easily done with a lighter....If you live in cold climates and you question whether you have enough attic insulation...The answer is no you don't.
