Better deal for philly imo. What them sign Spiller now.

Exactly, They wanted him last year and instead got Sproles who was fantastic. The Back up to McCoy, Chris Polk came on strong and got better the more he got the ball..

Nobody liked Russell Wilson either.....everyone in Seattle thought Matt Flynn was the answer....

Think I will respect Kelly's opinion.....

This isn't the same thing. Nobody expected anything from Wilson although he was a very good college QB. The roles are reversed, people expect a ton out of Mariotta. Not everyone thought Flynn was the answer in Seattle.

Kelly is a good Coach, but he has too much power. This was a good trade for Buff. McCoy still has years left of top production, and Alonso is a ??? coming off ACL surgery. He should be OK, but it'll probably take awhile, and he may not be as good as he was as a Rookie.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck then it is probably an Eagle.....

the cap implications make this a great deal for Philly...enough money freed up to go after more free agents...Alonso is a defensive star in the making....

I know dude. They aren't easy to come by like Vlad thinks they are. They don't just come around every year.

Actually quite the opposite. They do come out every year. Vick Ballard was a 5th round pick and ran well for 1 season before getting hurt. Arian Foster was undrafted. Alfred Morris was a 6th round pick. Murray a 3rd round pick. Forte mid 2nd round. Jamaal Charles 3rd round. Frank Gore 3rd round pick. And these are stars. Dominic Rhoades as an undrafted rookie had over 1,000 yards for the Colts in the SB year. Lamar Miller a 4th round pick. Forcett was a 7th round pick. Zak Stacey a 5th round pick. Darren Sproles was a 4th round pick. Jones Drew was the last pick of the 2nd round. Leveon Bell was a late 2nd round pick

Then you have guys like CJ Spiller, Ryan Matthews, Darren McFadden, Willis McGahee, Donald Brown and Trent Richardson who are high picks that haven't done anything. Running backs are a dime a dozen. These guys all had guaranteed contracts when they came in the league. RB is more heart than any other position.

Notice how Boom Herron is a better back on the colts than Richardson with the exact same offensive line. Richardson has the guaranteed #3 overall pick contract. I think Herron was a former practice squad player or something like that. I know he was not a lock for a roster spot.

I don't think you and I are talking about the same thing. I'm talking about a guy that is an All Pro and rushes for 1,600 yards and 12 TDs. Not a guy that rushes for 1,000 yards and two TDs.

LeSean McCoy and Ballard, Morris, Rhodes, Stacey, Forcett, Miller aren't even remotely on the same page as far as RB's go.

Those guys are decent. McCoy is an All Pro.

From week 5-17 last year, McCoy ranked 2nd behind only rushing champion DeMarco Murray (1,311) in total yards rushing with 1,127.

He hasn't faded yet.

Since it is not official yet, I wonder if Buffalo is having a change of heart about this. McCoy has said he doesn't want to play in Buffalo. He will prob. dog it and just fake and milk an injury. A running back that has no desire to play there is not good since it is a position of heart and will. Not to mention, their O line is weak. Lynch goes to Buffalo, doesn't do much and now is the best RB in game. McGahee goes to Buffalo, doesn't do much and then goes to Baltimore and had a couple good seasons.

Rookie and second season a combined 2,151 yards and 15 TDs. Not bad for a young guy.

LeSean McCoy and the Bills have agreed to a new five-year contract that will start once the star running back is officially traded to Buffalo by the Eagles, a source confirmed to ESPN's Josina Anderson.

<cite style="margin: 0px 0px 4px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; display: block; color: rgb(171, 171, 171); background: transparent;">
</cite>LeSean McCoy's new five-year deal with the Bills will add two years to his existing contract.

McCoy is expected to take a physical with the Bills on Sunday, the source told Anderson.

The new five-year deal, which will add two years to McCoy's existing contract, was first reported Sunday by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Bills acquired McCoy from Philadelphia for linebacker Kiko Alonso last week in a blockbuster trade first reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The deal cannot be formally completed or announced until the 2015 league season begins Tuesday.
Shortly after the teams agreed to the trade, a source told Anderson that McCoy, a Pennsylvania native who played collegiately at Pittsburgh, was not pleased with the deal.

McCoy has the NFL's third-most rushing yards (6,792) and fourth-most rushing touchdowns (44) since the Eagles drafted him in the second round in 2009. He finished last season with 1,319 rushing yards, third-most in the NFL.
