The Colts once traded for Eric Dickerson. This was before it was such a pass first league and still more of a rushing league. He didn't do crap for them as a team. He ran for 1,700 yards and they finish 9-7. Running back is the most overated position. I would take one with a mid round pick so not much is guaranteed so he has to give it his all and then get rid of him at 27 hopefully through trade. The Vikings should have trade Peterson 2 or 3 years ago.

I think in order of importance, I would go qb, then blindside OT, then edge pass rusher (Freeney was once a turnover every other game), then assuming a 3-4 which is the only defense you should be playing, corner, wr, tackling safety with range (Earl Thomas), strong dt that takes up blocks, pass catching TE that can play in slot as well, center, mike, will, guard, rb.

Elite mikes are hard to find.

Notice how Jamal Lewis nearly rushed for 2,000 yards with the Ravens but never did shit with the Browns. Never keep a RB past 28. Better to get rid of them 1 year early than 1 year late.

One of the players I would love to have right now is Joe Thomas. He protects blind side, Costanzo on right side. Mewort at guard. Lets face it, if Luck has 6-7 seconds to throw, he would be unstoppable.

Ever heard of Demarco Murray? Drafted 3rd round 2011. Led NFL last year over 1,800 yeards and 13 TD's. Lol

I know dude. They aren't easy to come by like Vlad thinks they are. They don't just come around every year.

More to do with his offensive line than anything. You put any halfway decent RB behind that line and they put up those kind of numbers. You used to see it every year in Denver too.

I agree with Vlad that RB is a highly overvalued position these days. There are a couple really special backs out there, but after that top tier there is not a lot of separation.

Great move for Chip Kelly......I loved McCoy but there are positions in the NFL that are more important than running back.....I am probably the biggest Eagle homer on the board and I love this deal.....Chip is not finished and I hope they trade up for Mariotta....

Better deal for the Bills by far.

McCoy has the NFL's third-most rushing yards (6,792) and fourth-most rushing touchdowns (44) since he was drafted by the Eagles in the second round in 2009. He finished last season with 1,319 rushing yards, third-most in the NFL.

Alonso is coming off a ACL injury.....Didn`t play in 2014.

Lopsided trade.....Dumb move by the Eagles...G.M. should be fired.

Explain why you hope they trade up? I assume you know it will cost a ton. Even if they trade up to #2, everyone knows it is too take Mariotta. They will get ripped off so bad. What trade do you forsee happening? #20 overall to #2 and the team involved know it is for a qb?

It took the Redskins 3 first round picks to move up 4 spots. Mariotta will be hurt before he sucks. This read option high school crap doesn't work in the NFL. This has been proven. Why keep making the same mistakes?

If he wanted to move up, he should have kept McCoy. Package him and Foles. You just cant give up a ton of 1st round picks. Someone would be dumb enough to give him a decent deal for a starting qb and running back. Now he has nothing to bargain with especially since everyone knows he wants Mariotta. If I were Chip and thought so highly of him, I don't trade McCoy and try to make a move at 10 with the Rams. Tennessee and the Jets I don't think are into him that much. I think Fisher thinks high of Bradford so if he passes, you prob. just have to deal with the Texans which wouldn't be an extreme price to pay in the mid 1st round.....But trading up to #2 will kill the franchise for years.

I hope these franchises have considered he is close to his family and has never played in bad weather where the media will be all over him. Hawaii and Oregon are alot different than Philly.

I don't get why people say this. Football is football and is played with as much intensity and scrutiny in Oregon as in Philly. Know Philly fans are assholes but all fans are assholes if you suck.

Weather. Lonliness. Being doubtful of his own ability when he struggles and everyone struggles. Personally, I think if he starts from Day 1, he will end up hurt. This running stuff just doesn't work in the NFL. He is a smaller version of Tim Tebow. Successful in life; yes...Successful in the NFL; not a chance.

Let's just see and what plays out.....not my intention of arguing with you.....if it happens then we will have a discussion......

I think he's much better than TT but still not NFL worthy.

Personally, if I wanted to make that move. I would keep Foles and McCoy. Nothing is worse than trading a ton of #1's and some 2's for lets just say to be a nice guy a 35/65 player. You give those 2 players for Mariotta, you won't have to give up as much. Maybe1 #1 and a future #2.
