Roxanne, everyone had a song, check out Roxanne Wars on Wiki

I always wanted to be around the shows I'd do anything from passing out flyers to cleaning up and later on a couple friends of mine we produced some shows in Vancouver.
KRS back in the day was it for me, Sex and Violence was the best BDP album IMO.
Rakim was solid but I was more of a fan of Gang Starr w/ Guru & Premier but so many legends hard to pick one over the other looking back

Man, I love Jay-Z. I was always the only lil' dude jammin that Jigga. My friend used to crack jokes, sayin that I was the only person listenin to Jay, while they were all listenin to that Swishahouse and DJ Michael Watts*

I got mad respect for him and his ability to rhyme, he is smooth and smart with it. He has said a lot of shit that got me thinking, I like him. I just feel like since the Black Album, he has failed to really maintain his street side. I liked the grit he brought to the microphone, I liked hearing about experiences straight from Marcy Projects....now we are showin' him what we got (purdy lady).

NaS...genius, and I really think that he is one of the best east coasters ever (I had him ranked higher than Jay, but not really by much..I'd say even really) God's son, is an all time favorite of mine and I am actually jamming it right now as we speak (This post has taken me at least 30 minutes to write, I keep stoppping and listening to some jams....) I think he is good. I think he is great, I love his smooth delivery as well and ability to rhyme all things. He has brought us into his studio and allowed us a look into his life, I love that...it's a beautiful thing..

I say Wayne because of his wordplay and dirty southern twang. His information seems alot more appropriate for my area. Though I am only an hour from Houston and the original the great DJ Screw, I am very close to Louisiana and a frequent to New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I understand more clearly the stuff that Wayne says.

I typed this thread in an attempt just to get feedback from everyone. That is why I love rap, cause everyone has a personal favorite that best reflects their lifestyle or hometown. I lived in NYC this summer I checked out Jamaica Queens, Harlem, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island. I wanted to get a feel for these places so that when I sat down and jammed a Method Man cd, or even re-visited that Get Rich or Die Tryin'. I want to check out Compton and South Central LA and even get a trip into that ATL.

What I'm sayin is that as a self proclaimed hustler, I respect everyone else. Having the unique ability to rhyme and speak your mind is an incredible feeling. I appreciate the fact that I have that ability....even if you don't think you're good, keep doing your thing, you never know who you are going to inspire.....

Keep it crunkned RR....

(Note: *Swishahouse, before they all blew up used to get me so hyped. to roll through jammin that screw, windows down, blunts burnin', 12's hittin in the back...it's just a lifestyle...But the Mike Jones blew up and Paul Wall started doing songs with Hulk Daughter and they just got whack, with the exception of Chamillionaire...and Slim Thug can still kinda do it. That screwed up click is so crunkned too, with Big Moe, Big Pokey, Z-Ro)

love it....

Any list that does not have RUN DMC cemented in stone is not viable. Id even have to put LL (back in the day) on there. Kurtis Blow was a pioneer. This shit today aint worth a flyin fuk compared to the mid 80's.

Ultra Magnetic

I've seen Kool Keith every time he comes to town. My favourite part of the Show is when he throws Fried Chicken and Porn into the Audience...That bit never gets old.
