The Ninth Configuration. Mind Blowing movie with Stacy Keach. In The Exorcist little Reagan( while in her early stages of possession) tells a astronaut he's going to die if and when he goes into outer space..this is his story.. written and directed by William Peter Blatty (the guy who wrote the book and screenplay for The Exorcist)

Let it Ride---one of the best gambling movies ever-has every stereotype from track
Blazing Saddles- One of funniest movies of all time-Mel brooks couldn't make the movie today. No political correctness at all in it, which makes it so funny

Monty Python's Life of Brian

Watched it again today .. classic!

I watched Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail last night for the first time, and just didn't think it was that funny. People talk like it's the funniest movie ever made.

I found it boring for the most part.

we were talking about this the other day,,, movies that have staying power,,, and to be honest, all of the monety pythons dont really have that,,, at the time it was the PERFECT mix of rediculous satire,,,, americans were tired of the adventures of buckaroo bonzai lol,, formulaic horrible movies,,

when is the last time you watched a jerry seinfeld episode,,, his sitcom doesnt hold up,,, its ok,,, but in todays sharp witted content,, it comes across as quite dull,,,, it is ok,,, its not going to hold up at all,,,,,,

caddyshack has staying power,,, that shit will be funny for a hundred more years,,, the only thing that messes with it,,, is there is no more traditional golf club reality,,,,
well,,, there is ,,, but not really,,, in the 70s and 80s it was a HUGE thing to be in a golf club,,, nowadays most people dont find the same value,,,,

cheers

a doctors family is murdered,,,, and he finds a crack whore thats being held hostage (for nefarious reasons of course) he BUYS HER,,, and trains her on how to KILL this serial rapist that murdered his family,,,,

the only catch,,, she can only penetrate security if she is NAKED,,, so the doctor has to SEW A GUN INSIDE HER,,, haha,,, and she has to rip it out.

Primal Fear (Richard Gere/Edward Norton).

Don't hear about it much, but I always thought it was a very entertaining and well done movie.

Sleepers...

Ironically both are about child predators, but I think thinking of Primal Fear made me think of Sleepers.

Murder in The First starring Kevin Bacon, Gary Oldman and Christian Slater.
Good movie. A friend of mine was the prop man for that movie. He said he spent weeks going around San Francisco looking for props like cigarette packages etc. from the 40's to use in the movie. He said Kevin Bacon was a real asshole on the set. But Christian Slater was a great guy. You would think with their public persona it would have been the other way around.

Killer Joe, Corndog Man, Back to School, Overnight..... whether you hated or loved boondock saints (i personally hated it), Overnight is a documentary about the rise and fall of the maker of Boondock, (Troy Duffy) He was Miramax's boy, I think Weinstein bought him the bar he was working at, was going to let him play the soundtrack for the film, he gave him a shitload of cash and was going to let him direct it. Then it all got taken away as Duffy's ego was out of control. pretty good doc.
