How in the hell can I prove something like that?
Just go and ask the people in the mlb section how I am.
I hit over 60% this year. Visit some of last years thread.

Do your own research. I could care less what you or anyone else thinks.

College Basketball:
http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?t=673611
237-168 59% (+78.1 units)

College Bowl System last year:
http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?t=645613
12-5 71%(last year)
11-1 92% (2 years ago)

very good now you got it... so ill put u down for 4 seasons without a losing record...and if u didnt care what anyone thought about your record then you wouldnt have whacked yourself off about NEVER having a losing season.

I don't care. I was simple making a point. It was 1 sentence in 4 paragraphs of writing. lol It's not like I started a new thread about how great I am. Nobody is whacking themselves off. Just stop being an asshole.

We all have ups and downs ... but I was just simply stating that there are lots of people who everyone can follow and make money. Like I said, I know at least 10 of the bat who haven't had a losing season.

The point of my original post was not to show off that I have never had a losing season, it was the point that you can follow people and still make money if you know the right people.

I am done with this thread.

Anyways ... I hope everyone has a great football season.

How can a thread like this exist without a shout-out to Greenbacks? Posts selectively, but is as solid as they come.

There are a lot more as well....just have to keep the eyes open.

Good luck to you if you decide to follow "DIZZLE" this year....you'll be broke by week 5.....
?????????? dont hate...ya no waaaaayyy in hell he is gonna do 78% again, but even before that he was 63% the previous 2 years. i think you can be safe to expect Randizzle to win between 60%-65% and be anywhere from 25-45 games over .500 and that my friend will make you lots of money!!!

Hopefully I will have some time available to contribute to the forum. Haven't posted much in the past several years as my family has gone from just me to me, wife and 2 kids. It came down to having time to handicap, bet, family, posting picks and betting contests. Well, I have pretty much given up posting and betting contests. If I don't have enough time to handicap then I will give up betting also.

I have not had a losing football season ever. Unfortunately my bankroll is the only thing that can back that up and that's the most important in my opinion.

Some great cappers here. Lets win some money!

GS, if Trent still uses locals, he must drive them nuts only making 3 or 4 bets a month.

I'm convinced he's a buddhist monk in addition to being a handicapper.

d1g1t

He's good in my book Woof. I can relate.

In the SW Oregon boonies where I live the locals are small time. Not worth the action. Even at the nearby track if you put $100 on the nose on a horse the odds will drop from 12-1 down to 4-1. That's pretty sick. Maybe that happened because church let out an hour before the first race.

I also don't see the point in just tailing, takes the fun out of it. I don't care who you are, wagering is not an ideal investment strategy, if you just want to $ invest in index funds or something boring like that.

I look to this site for writeups/analysis, and in my limited time here, I found GoSooners, boxslayer, and the guy whose picture is a black guy in an army jersey (sorry can't remember name at the moment) have good write-ups.

Always hear people screaming about there records - I consider a winning season - one where I break even or close to it!?! but still love it.:):)

:laugh:this guy is an idiot!!! Sports Investing is the BEST and SAFEST investment in the world. if you can find a capper/agent/broker or whatever you want to call them that can be 60%+, you can EASILY EASILY get 200%-1000%return on your money. compare that to your sorry ass index funds. for ex. take $10k and then 5% of that and you have $500 per play, say 90 plays per month at 60% you got a 54-36 record, subtract the juice and you are up +14.4 games over .500, $500 times 14.4 equals $7200/m times 12 months is $86,400 in a year cash money. thats 864% GAIN!!!! beat that with those GAY ASS STOCKS!!!! bottom line is it is all gamling, if you buy a stock....youre gambling. if you buy a house...youre gamling. if you buy a piece of art...youre gambling. so why not invest in the most fun and highest return possible. Sports Investing!!!!! personally i know a whole lot more about sports than i do about p/e ratios:lol:

I disagree with this statement. When I first started gambling years and years ago, I had a couple of people I followed blindly and won plenty of money. If you watch closely, you will see who knows their stuff.

I then began to learn their thought process on games and started to cap my own games. However, I see nothing wrong with following someone. I know several people who I look at to compare my picks to and some of them have not had a losing season in years. I haven't had a losing season in mlb, college football and college basketball EVER.

So if someone was to know nothing about sports and follow "johndoe" and he wins +75 units then that person who knows nothing about sports is investing and winning money every year. There are people out there that win every year ... so I see nothing wrong with following.

People play the stock market not knowing how it will go, but you invest and gamble. That is part of it. Not trying to argue, just throwing my 2 cents out there about the situation

I completely I agree. I will be capping my own NFL this year, but I look forward to your plays in NCAAF. You did very well in college hoops this past season:103631605 and don't see anything wrong in tailing someone who you believe has a greater advantage than you in an given sport. Isn't this what this forum is all about? ABC capper may be great with NBA, but tail xyz capper who is superior in MLB. It's called a comparative advantage and a forum like this is great way for everyone to acheive synergy in their capping efforts. BOL to all.

Yeah...alot of these guys are solid but they hit and miss like anyone else. I look for JBragg's thread in all 3 major sports...he seems to cap with similar ideas as I have for myself. I enjoy seeing several of my cappers who plays I respect are on the same play....that usually is a good thing.I really want to discipline myself this season and find my absolute strongest plays of the day and make larger plays on them and taking the wins and losses. Last year I always spaced out my wagers according to game times to track all day and then it was double or nothing, or chase, when those late Pac-10 games came along...or Hawaii game lol

No certain order, GoSooners, Soonerbs,Pags11,Boxslayer,Coach LT. When Coach LT gives out a rubberband game, it's usually very sweet! Thanks to all the above and a few more that I read daily! Jbragg, have tailed you some, just haven't seen enough of you but think you are near the top!

dawoofdaddy,

There is a guy on another forum who says you're a horrible clueless handicapper.. Do you think you're a great college football handicapper?

I'm going to call you out on your statement about never having a losing season EVER. No one has ever done that. You are going to have to prove that. Frankly I think that statements like that are nothing more than B.S. I will be looking for you this season, Mr. "I have never had a Losing Season." Like I said, PROVE IT!!! You will get your shot. No backing out.

No offense Bigdaddy but I've been coming to this forum less than 6 months, yet every post of yours I read seems to be full of extreme pretension. You strike me as the typical over-confident, chest-thumping capper that ultimately loses his ass when it matters most. It's funny how you're attempting to call out JBragg when YOU'RE the unproven one. I'll be looking for you this season, selectively fading your CFB God-Complex when the opportunity strikes. Good Luck.

Reefer,

BD... sometimes he's in lockstep with the rest of my P-10 analyst buddies here (including myself) but I'm not sure how much reading he's done here to come to his conclusions.

Then again, someone pointed out that he comes off sounding very pretentious, even to the point of bragging and putting others down who know more than he does, then he gets put in his place... kinda too often.

Then he also goes into this "we" mode and touts his personal betting group in Las Vegas that lays large (supposedly.) Kind of like Smegal from the Lord of the Rings. He was an imp that kept saying we this and we that instead of saying me or I. Obviously he's not been around long enough to know how things are around here.

This place is going to explode within the next week. Just watch. You will make a post and within an hour it will be buried 2 pages back. There will definitely be a lot to ignore.

But the point is that there are plenty of guys to tail if that's what you want to do. Probably about 10 of them (maybe more) are just as on it as any service you will pay money for. Just go with the flow. Most of the legit guys post their plays and their records in their threads so you can keep up with how well things have been going without too much ado.

Choose wisely. Read their writeups or at least follow their records OFTEN. That's the best way to choose the winners. If you catch someone who seems like he's in crystal ball mode and his descriptions of games turn out to be accurate, it's like $$$ in the bank. So when someone has a good week, read their write-ups and see if they are truly tuned in (at the time.) It may also be a good idea to "filter out" the lucky breaks. Luck doesn't come around often enough to depend on it. Accuracy counts A LOT!

A lot of guys might list tons of stats and trends, and yes they are very compelling at times. But the guy who hits because he has the right "feel" to the game knows all about the stats and trends but he also knows his teams on a personal sort of level is also very compelling. He anticipates and compares team strengths, weaknesses and performances in the moment. That matters far more than anything else. So see how accurate they are in their write-ups after all has been decided. Look for the crystal ball-like write-ups. There's no better way to judge how well a handicapper is doing. Of course their record helps too but a lot of guys go through periods of hot and cold so W/L records don't necessarily mean everything in a given week. The crystal ball writeup tells all.
