4-7...

"You are what your record says you are" - Bill Parcells

"We're not a championship team right now...we're not" - JoeyB back in Oct

The Bengals could get that with Jake Browning. In fact, they almost made the playoffs last year after JoeyB got hurt - again.

The AFC North leading Pittsburgh Steelers don't even have a QB, yet boast 4 more wins than cap-crippling 55 million dollar Superstar JoeyB.

The NFL sure is full of riddles, isn't it?

"Wasting away poor Burrow's prime"...Bengals fans should get plenty used to that phrase. :ROFLMAO:

Whether Jerry Rice leaves or stays for insane money, the outcome for you is the same for years come: Failure.

You bitching, moaning and cursing how the Bengals just aren't good enough because either they'll have no money left to pay anyone decent, or JoeyB won't have the elite supporting cast to pad his "pure passing" stats.

You do realize "accuracy" in the NFL is largely a myth, since even most backup QBs can drain a football through a hoop from midcourt. It's a matter who is catching the ball (or dropping the ball) on the other end.

I remember knitro writing an extensive post how no team in the new modern post Mahomes-contract era had won the Super Bowl. If Chase stays in Cincy, the Bengals will have TWO such contracts, or pretty close.

The Bills will never have a "JoeyB problem" because Josh can literally do it all himself, both through the air and on the ground, a reality even Mahomes ass-kissers like Nick Wright are beginning to understand.
Bengals have historically a poorly run franchise because their owner is cheap and stubborn, and only hires people with personal connections.

If he makes an outside hire, he gives them way too long. Marvin Lewis was the second-longest tenured coach in the NFL only behind Belichick when he finally was put out of his misery. Dude was 0-7 in playoff games lol

Zac Taylor is an OK coach at best, but do you think he’d get another job if the Bengals canned him?

The franchise is just poorly-run. Drafting Burrow and Chase were no-brainers and paying them is no-brainer, but their fate is going to come down to drafting and developing players

Burrow/Chase covered up their flaws for a couple of years. Whether or not they pay Chase has no impact on their future competitiveness

Yep

Josh Allen 0-4 vs Mahomes + Burrow in the playoffs

Allen has only beaten wild card teams at home

He’s never beaten a division champ in the playoffs

He’s never won a playoff road game

He’s never won as an underdog in the playoffs

Marvin Lewis was my hero.

Dude had 9 lives, incredible survival skills.

How many coaches were fired throughout his tenure?

Some coaches get fired for looking at their players the wrong way, Marvin just kept chugging along, 16 years as HC in the NFL without a single playoff win.

Forget Belichick, Marvin is the TRUE GOAT.

All Bengals management had to do was give Marvin a decent team and he would have rivaled Belichick in Super Bowls. Instead, they wasted away Marvin's prime, just like they're wasting Joey's prime.

Ja'Marr Chase is the modern diva version of Jerry Rice. I won't fault him for wanting out of this dumpster fire. He looked exacerbated against the Chargers, arms waving up and down when the NFL's best "pure passer" missed him wide open at least twice.

4-7....including 10 points of offense against the woeful Pats in their home opener - "You are what your record says you are"

Jake Browning could do that for 53m cheaper.

10 points against the Ravens is worse than 10 points against the Patriots lol
If you pay your QB 55m, he has to get it done. Is he entitled to a stinker here and there? Sure. But not 4-7.

55m is a "no excuses, carry the fucking team on your fucking back no matter what" type of stipend. Just is.

There's no such thing as "he's a warrior" but then has to have everything "perfect" around him to succeed. You can't have it both ways. Either he's a winner or he's not.

Joe Burrow is an average QB with 2 super elite WRs. One of them next level.

The Bengals would've been better off playing Jake Browning for now, then drafting a QB and building around him and paying Chase and Higgins.

You're right, this dumpster fire of a franchise understands winning as much as Jerry Jones, Daniel Snyder and Woody Johnson.

Sure, why not? 9-2... who cares. There will always be stinkers and lulls throughout winning seasons.

Similar to Joey's Pats debacle... in 2021, Allen laid an egg in the Bills home opener against the always tough pesky Steelers scoring a measly 16 points.

Shit happens.

He was 11-6 that season.

Thing is that Patriots game was the only bad game Burrow has played this season

Allen followed up the egg vs Baltimore with one of the worst performances in NFL history a week later

Burrow’s performance against the Patriots was 1000x better than Allen’s performance against the Texans

6 points against the Chargers. LOL

You know full well the Chargers thought they had it in the bag at the half and went to sleep, which followed a comedy of errors in the second half.

Jimmy Harbaugh is so overrated.

"The Bengals are wasting away poor JoeyB's prime!!" 🤡

Nooooo. They PAID him 55m to carry the load! Money which could have otherwise been spent on a better supporting cast, not to mention enough $$$ for Chase AND Higgins AND a record motherlode return in draft picks! You just know Jerry Jones would give up 10 first rounders for this flamboyant stat-padding bum believing he could win the Super Bowl for the next 10 years. LOL

#BurrowOverrated. Make it trend.

Joe Burrow is a one trick pony.

Okay, maybe two trick pony. Average QB with stacked rosters since college, yet still can't get it done.

That's just the no-spin truth.

"Pure passing"...what a joke.

As everyone can see, Burrow's career numbers would be ABYSMAL without Ja'Marr Chase. To put it in a lingo Bengals fans would understand, Chase is the Josh Allen of WRs.

Mahomes was surrounded by future HOF-inductees from the moment he walked into KC. Probably wouldn't even make the playoffs as a Bear or Bill. Some guys were just born with a horseshoe up their ass.

What has Allen had to work with it? Nothing. He does it all himself. And he's learning. Rather than force-feeding some whining diva for his stats resulting in INTs, Allen is spreading the ball around. Rather than hand the ball over to bush league kickers to win in the clutch, Allen is taking the game into his own hands, like he did against KC.

Keep giving Josh that many kicks at the can, and he'll win his Super Bowls. Not if, but WHEN. He's a Next Level BEAST.
