hhhhhmmmm, exactly a year ago. sounds like someone's time is running out to file a civil suit, with no criminal suit. Bull.

My question is.....why hasnt ESPN reported this story? What a fraud this station has become....they have a hidden agenda in my opinion...they will shove the x games and Barry Bonds down my throat....and then just totally ignore this story? I dont care if Ben is guilty or innocent....however, there job is to REPORT news....I dont need their opinions....but REPORT it...its NEWS! This picking and choosing is just wrong....Im wondering what their exact agenda is though.....

ESPN hasnt said much about Erin Andrews incident either.

As for Big ole Ben.......he's gonna have to throw a few more games this season to cover all his mounting legal bills.:):)

He situation has nothing to do with sports or really anything the station reports on.

Your kidding right? So we should have ignored the Kobe Bryant rape case too? Donte Stallworth? Michael Vick? Plaxico Burress? I mean, they are OFF field issues....they are athletes.....which is sports related....and thats fine if you think that way...but then...ALL of those examples I just gave, should have been ignored by ESPN too.....they pick and choose....maybe its because THEY didnt break the story and are embarrassed one of their 15,000 reporters failed to report it....or they are in bed with Big Ben....whatever the reason...they look more and more stupid not saying a word about it....yet, they can tell me what kind of toilet paper Brett Favre uses to wipe his ass....They suck!!!

He may never lose the civil suit but there should be something criminal about him having sex with her.

Rumor has it ESPN has a no-report mandate on this because Ben is about to star in that ESPN reality show with Shaq and a few other athletes. Whether it's true or not, who knows. Maybe it'll become big enough to the point where they have to, but probably not if no criminal investigation takes place.

Ben's lawyer said something really strange, though.

Attorney David Cornwell told ProFootballTalk that he denies the claims in the lawsuit, saying, "Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone, especially Andrea McNulty,"

Especially not her? Huh? What...with everyone else, the line gets blurrier? It's almost like Ben coming out and saying "Of all the people I've sexually assaulted, in all the world, none of them were named Andrea, especially not Andrea McNulty!"

Haha, yeah a strange statement indeed. He was trying to be adamant, but it came across as odd.

I wonder if he will claim he never had sex with her or that it was consensual. Anyone have a copy of the lawsuit? From the snippets it sounds like the consent line may have been blurry. I mean, she tells him she's not on birth control. Not to be a jerk, but that itself doesn't exactly sound like a resounding no.

I found the lawsuit and read it. Very long. I would be surprised if the encounter did not happen. I'm sure BR will just claim it was consensual. The coverup by Harrah's may have been almost as bad as the alleged crime.
