I will tell a true story and I hope nobody thinks I am a shill for the sportsbook I will mention. About 6 or 7 years ago I only had accounts at 2 books..... Carib and Big Book. I lived in Oregon then while I presently reside in Las Vegas. Although I had an account at Big book, I was out of $$ there { This happens to me quite often }. Anyway, Carib was really my only source so I made a wager there and luckily I won. However, when I went to my Carib site I discovered that my wager was scored as canceled instead of a win. Of course I called up and asked why ? They put me thru to the manager who politedly told me the posted line was an obvious error and they had the right to cancel as per their rules. However, He told me that from my wagering pattern over the years, the suspect wager was right in line with the normal amount that I usually wagered. Therefore He told me that He would give me the benefit of the doubt and that He would honor my wager. Now I am telling you that I actually was not aware that it was a bad line but it was ! The fact that the Book paid it anyway is what I call great customer service and I brought Carib many customers over the years. I am not a Carib shill and I recently have blasted their deposit bonus but this my friends is how a sportsbook can keep their customers and spreads good will for many years !
Thanks for sharing!!!

Will always remember what Sonny Reizner told me on my first day on the job in Vegas.........."Fish, the customer is ALWAYS right, unless of course he is obviously trying to cheat you".

Many offshore sportsbook management teams need to sit back and understand how important customer relations is for the LONGHAUL............as any business should.

Like in Kermits case above, by doing what they did, CARIB gained and made 10 fold+ by exuding and showing outstanding customer service.

Fish,
By the way, Carib sent me a smoked turkey as a Christmas gift that same year ! I never should have told my friends about that one as you can easily imagine the Snied chuckles I had to put up with for years thereafter ! LOL

KERMIT- since you will not be coming to the Florida reunion, BIGBET and myself will have a toast in your honor.

Pick the drink of your choice to be honored.

AS per nomal Jay C is the voice of common sense and integrity.

Where does it end if you cancel a 20 cent ML diff on a +200 bet and call it a bad line.

You can find 20 cent differences between shops every single day in baseball.

If a line is +200 when it should be -200 then thats pretty clear, but 20 cents :WTF:

Do sportsbooks who pull this bush league stuff actually think people feel confident about sending them money?

Current Moneylines (as we speak):

Seattle SeaHawks: +245 @ CRIS, +200 @ WSEX (45 cents difference)
vs. Minnesota Vikings: -250 @ WSEX, -300 @ Carib (50 cents difference)

The casual observer might see these 45-50 cent discrepancies in these +/- 250'ish moneylines, and not think anything of it.

But maybe The Major, and others who supported BCN's decision to cancel the +240 line that was 20 cents off the consensus, can (1) identify which of the above moneylines are "bad lines", and (2) notify the appropriate books so that they may correct their lines before all hell breaks lose.

I'd do it myself, but to tell you the truth, I'm too stupid to determine which lines are the bad ones ... but there's a 50 cent difference in the moneylines between the different books, so by God, someone must be wrong. :103631605

BCN, as some other sports books that advertise with us, do not want to post in the forum...

Instead, they replied by email to both the general and myself to echo their opinions and actions...

Once again, I commend BCN on doing the RIGHT THING and in retrospect, I believe thier biggest mistake was cancelling the gambler's wager in the first place and I have told them so...

But most importantly, they have DONE the RIGHT thing at the end, which speaks VOLUMES about BCN...

I would feel safe sending any sports book money that is WILLING to negotiate when disputes arise...

Believe me, most of these cases never end up on the forums anyways...

What about people other than poster that started this thread ? Others must have bet this ML also. I'll bet they just got cancelled, not PAID !

I'll consider BCN after they survive another football season, if there are no more problems reported.

What does BCN stand for ? Maybe they should be BCW ( Book Cancels Wagers)
