baseball totals teaser.. Wow. Never seen that

A book called Millennium back in the day used to market them heavily.

Heritage brought them back. But not sure really how well they have been

received. I believe you can add or subtract 1.5 to 2 runs on a Baseball Totals.

But several shops like 5 dimes, heritage, and bet 365 already let you do this on

straights and parlays. I would have to see what Heritages rules are on this offering.

Ya unfortunately I cannot buy or sell points through my local :-/ but offshores have made me nervous for years so I've dealt with it. Little pickle I've had to work around. Miss out on a lot of good wagers and opportunities but that's my sacrifice. that's a different topic though.

IMO there's no advantage to parlaying or not. If the play is +even then it doesn't matter. The only disadvantage is that you can't line shop on a parlay. Most people don't properly bet parlays either from a money management perspective. If you're betting long odds your bets should be really small, you should be bet to win a unit rather than betting one unit to hit a big payday. Betting sports is a grind, if you don't have the time to grind it out you wont make it.

I stay away from parlays until I saw Kevy posting a 2 teamer with a large favorite
and a small dog paying 2-1 or better.
I posted this before I missed the parlay so I went to the Live extra at 5Dimes and
put in a straight bet on the small dog.
Then it was very little risk for me to bet the favorite straight up since I already
won the 1st straight bet.
I would have made more money with the parlay but I just made the plays so
I could get something out of Kevy picks.

You are at a great book for when you want to do Parlays.

5dimes is amazing for the parlay player. Heritage is really good too.

My third choice would be Bet365. But they booted me years ago. And

They also dont take US customer's anymore.

I want to get threads like this going more often. Get everyone involved.

Get different takes and insights on some stuff. I was writing down like

four or five different topics on a napkin at lunch today....lolz.

One weird quirk about Parlays for me is I don't
ever really put any Totals or Run Line -1.5 Faves.
Totals every now and again. Especially if I can adjust
the number. But I can not remember ever the last time
I put a Fave Run Line in. I also dont put -1 or +1 lines in
either. I will put in a 4.5 or 5 inning line or even a Team Total
from time to time.

The only runline I like is the + 1.5 on a big dog.

I always do a $5 7 team parlay that pays out $1-2k+. Believe it or not, I do quite well. I play it everyday for fun and win maybe 2-4 times a mlb season. Sometimes you just feel really good about some plays and have a good read. Also, sometimes Ill do these same parlays but with open spots, still for $5

I am a huge advocate for using open spots in parlays.

Baseball season is tailor made for open spots in parlays.

Why parlay?

the biggest myth is that one is avoiding heavy juice by linking games together.

I obviously understand payouts are bigger but absolutely no bigger than playing straight up. You are only locking yourself in the 'having' to play an additional game(s), even when open ended.

Perhaps of you absolutely love two games that inter lap each other and you don't have the funds.

I dabble into parlays also, But I use a 4-team round-robin bet ..in a 7-teamer .. I was hitting 4-5 team winners and losing the bet, so I use round robin now which includes ( 1 st 5 inn, over-unders , or sides ...)

Kevy another topic:
I have friends that are very concerned about all the personal info. 5Dimes wants before they pay.
The last time I checked they wanted a copy of my driver's license, my credit card, my water bill
and my social security #.
This is the 1 thing I do not like about 5Dimes.

If you deposit by credit or debit cards that can be the norm.

But if you deposit by person to person method, that would

concern me. This might be a good topic in the offshore forum.

The Mods also act as player advocates too. But if you deposited

by plastic that comes with the territory.

In the Baseball forum im going to do some capping related group

discussions in the coming days.

Im big on Round Robins for Baseball Parlays.
I like to have a dog or two in there when possible.

Has anyone ever played the Alt R/L on parlays? Like yesterday I liked Toronto and Minnesota.. Both won outright but getting 2.5 runs to start? Yeah the payoff isn't great, but it's all about the final #. Right? Just curious guys and gals, think I will start putting it to pen and paper and see what happens.. Any thoughts on my ridiculous train of thought?
