Kevy,
Ive been lurkin around your posts for a few years now.
when I began capping my own games
I always took looks at your thread to
make sure I wasn't against ya.
If we shared picks I felt like I was doing
something right ha.

Pleasure to share a site with ya

as far as parlays go,
I have found what works best for me
is doing 2-3 team parlays, preferably dog RL's

almost any time I like a dog
ill take their RL and pair it with another dog RL
i feel confident in.

I used to only do parlays in bases to avoid big juice losses on faves. I think the best way now is to play all picks straight for the most part and avoid big juice faves altogether. Two and three teams max and if 3 teams a round robin to go with the 3 teamer is a good way to go imo.

Here's how I like to approach parlays:

Sort of a check list of sorts for where I place my parlays

1) I want to be playing them at a shop with a dime line or better.

2) I want to be playing them at a shop that gives me a lot of options
and less restrictions. The more options I have the better.

3) I want to be playing them at a shop that offers me the option of
"Open Spot" Parlays. And if I can fill my open spots online that is a
plus. But if it has to be by phone (depends on the book) that is fine.
The open spot allows me ( or you ) the option of not having to force
an inferior play for the sake of needing another play to complete/fill
a two teamer, Etc. I also want to be familiar with that shops time limit
on filling an open slot(s).

3)I am looking at two teamers that are going to pay me at least 2-1odds
or better. I am pretty firm on that for my two teamers. I like to avoid two
chalky prices being in a two teamer. I want no less than 2-1. And two heavy
chalks doesn't allow for that.

4) When I like 3 or more games. I start looking at Round Robins. I will do a
three teamer from time to time depending on the wager selections and prices.
But at three or more im looking at Round Robins.

5) Any time I can put a dog money line(s) in the two teamer or the Round Robins
I will seize the opportunity. This will sweeten the payouts considerably.

These are some of the ways I approach my Baseball Parlays wagers.

For me the biggest thing I would stress is NEVER force a play into a parlay
or Round Robin for the sake of filling a spot (s).

To hedge or not to hedge?????

Most common question asked or posed on a daily basis

I am not big on hedging 99% of the time. Only because of
how much time I put into my play selection (s). So 99% of
the time I am all in heading in to the final leg.

What I liked about your strategy with that parlay was you throwing in the money line dog.

That is when you can really make some great return with these. Great ROI on that 4 teamer.

<><> I was like there is no way Giants gonna lose AT HOME with Lincecum as a DOG against a mediocre Happ. I was very confident in this dog play. Thanks man.

In my opinion I agree with the theory it is hard to win one game let alone two or three but I only believe this when talking about bets with point spreads not with plain moneylenders games. Give me a playoff hockey game I like + 2 1/2 goals a nba playoff game ml on a 9 point favorite and 2 mlb games I like + 2 1/2 runs I am more than happy to play that for 200 to win 300. Do I parlay two football or basketball games using the point spread? Absolutely not

I think a few years ago you caught me on a bad day at the wrong time and we didn't talk it out.

The Chicago and Illinois posters were the first to really rally around me back in the day. So

we are good. All the Chicago posters are cool with me. Spent part of my youth out there and I

root for all the teams, etc. GL Thursday wagers.

Don't care for parlays. I only play them if I have a dog included in them to make my roi worth it and I always would try to keep it to 2 teams otherwise it's about like giving money away. For hedging I'm still a little iffy. I think the idea of taking profits whenever you can garauntee them is absolutely smart but I also like to trust my gut and initial pick. Depends on the amount of $$ and situation were talking.

I think Baseball is the perfect sport for Parlays.

I have enjoyed reading your thoughts on the Parlays.

You do the same thing with the + 2.5's and such that I like to do.

There are a few of us that do that. Dont be a stranger in any of

Our future discussion threads. GL Thursday wagers.

I am on really big on a dog having to be involved. We are like minded in this strategy and approach.

Always keep trusting your gut. I think I have made better play decisions off my gut than my brain over

the years. GL Thursday wagers.

I did at one time have some success doing some 2 team 4-5 point teasers during march madness. I would find a couple dogs I realy liked and add another 4 pts on and it seemed to work. I did that for one year I was in Vegas during March madness and profited about 1,500 making $100-150 wagers. Haven't had the option to bet teasers since being I go through local. Always thought I was just hot though that it wasn't the teasers I was doing.

The key is never being afraid to make the tough selections.

Those are the ones that will make you the most money long term.

Heritage Sports offers a Baseball Totals Teaser Wager.
But I have never read the rules on them. I do like Teasers
for Basketball and Football. Open spot Teasers option.
