Seems like a common argument these days is to say a sport is dying out LOL.......I've heard it about Horse Racing, Boxing, Baseball, and others...
Reality is there are just a lot of options these days in all sorts of sectors......Yet the Kentucky Derby still had 150,000 people live again this year....Boxing still has Mayweather making a record amount.....Baseball will still be watched and games attended....You think baseball gonna die in places like St.Louis, Chicago, New York, or Boston for example.....That won't happen....The Cubs prove that as they haven't won the big one in forever, yet the fans still come.....
It depends more on the city than the sport plus how many options to do are in that city as some cities there are things to do besides sports all the time...
NFL is #1 and College Football is right there with it and obviously extremely huge in the South........March Madness College Basketball is so big that it is ruled the least productive work day of the year around the country I once read (the days it starts)...NBA, people only care when the playoffs start as nobody cares about the regular season......Golf is bigger when Tiger Woods plays.......Then throw in the World Cup like this year and that is dominating other sports at the moment like baseball.........The reality is there are piles of options these days so to say this is dying or that is dying is ridiculous when its just a lot more options (a lot of areas, not just sports) and more competition....
