My question to you is, "is that a game where you believe Toronto truely does win, or is it kind of a shits and giggles contest pick-em play." My actual preference is TOR +1.5 (-170), but I've noticed the past four +1.5 selections I've used all won straight up.
Here's the dope:
New Jersey playing at Home with rest has beaten -1.5 only eight times in their past 41 chances (1-2 this season)
Take it back an additional season and they're just 17-62
Toronto is 10-6 Away with 0DaysRest when graded at +1.5 in past 16 chances
Finally, in H2H, Devils have beaten Buds by more than one goal just once in 12 meetings since the lockout.
Toronto has won six of those 12 straight up.
I'll be putting the +1.5 in some kind of parlay to reduce my exposure.

Me? I'm riding the same general reasoning I applied when playing Wing -1.5 two nights ago at LA Kings. (scroll back up this thread for those Notes)
Echoing Sherwood's mention of Anaheim returning from a four day roadie.....Last season Ducks were just 4-8 playing Home After Away with at least one day off in between and this year they've already lost one time in that same role.
Further, in those 13 games combined they're 9-4 vs +1.5 so given the strength of tonight's visitor Detroit, we might cut loose later this evening and see if we can figure out a small 2TeamParlay involving DET -1.5 and an NBA selection. Keep an eye on the "2Teamer O Day" thread, which though I've already posted one today, I might just go for another, especially if I get to the late 9pm hour and see the Toronto combo parlay heading to a win.
