No doubt that factory farming has an ugly side. But the vegan world touts its moral superiority when things just are not quite as rosy as they'd like it to seem. Vegan diets tend to have a higher carbon footprint and the demand has now made soy the 2nd highest cause for deforestation. And that quinoa they all so love, the same miracle grain that sustains the Peruvian poor. Not so much any more. It costs more than chicken. Unintended consequences Im sure, but still there is a dirty side to eveything.
And that is some how germane to this discussion?
Shub, you will never win people over by proselytizing. The best you can do is provide information in a non-combative attitude and let them decide what to do with it. I've been vegan for over twenty years and I realized just to keep my mouth shut.If somebody asks you about it, explain why you chose your way and maybe they will think it through.
