</header>[h=2]Hours after the horrendous toll of the Florida school shooting on Wednesday became apparent, Hollywood veteran actor Adam Baldwin reacted to gun-grabbing celebrities by calling for school staff members to be armed with guns.[/h]And this call is more than reasonable when one considers that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School had two armed resource officers assigned to it, yet a killer was still able to infiltrate campus and harm innocents. Armed teachers and staff might have been able to take out the killer once he got on campus, thereby saving every life or at least saving some.

</twitterwidget>Baldwin makes the point about men with guns stopping the attack because men with guns apprehended the attacker. But the critical point is that a school staff ought not be required to be sitting ducks.
Looked at another way, students ought not be required to be sitting ducks because of asinine policies that keep school staff members from being armed for self-defense.
Baldwin’s suggestion is very important for another reason, he understands that armed resource officers and armed staff are crucial to school safety.
Again, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High had resource officers but lacked the armed staff. Therefore, when the killer made it past the outside parameter there was no one on the inside who could stop him. Anyone who thinks of copy-catting the Florida attack should not only have to fear the presence of officers but should also have to frustrate themselves to near paralysis in worrying about which teachers and staff can (and will) shoot back.

Hypothetically, you are a 19 year old punk who's thinking about going into a school a shooting a bunch of kids.
Which school are you going to choose:
A. A school where no one has any guns
B. A school where half the staff and teachers are concealed carrying

The private school where my kids go to school, 20% of the teachers and staff are concealed carrying. Any fucking shit stain walks in with a gun,

Zit you are forgetting, PEOPLE ARE MORONS. The less guns in the school the better. Im freidns with many teachers. They are not trained in protection. They are trained in teaching. So what happens when one leaves their sidearm in the bathroom, in the break room or a student takes it out of their desk drwaerr. And where does it end, armed doctors in a hospital, movie theater ticket takers with a 9mm. Its just dumb to say teachers should carry. There shouldnt be guns in shchools period.
There are a lot of factors, some say mental health issues. I think a large factor is secular humanism (and liberalism) in the public school system - as
well as the break-down of the family unit, which is also under attack by secular humanists and liberals.

Like I said before, in the private school my kids attend it works VERY well, and any maggot comes in the brandishing a gun is going to get his head blown off. We all
sleep well at night knowing that the teachers and staff that are concealed carrying are very well trained, and are ready to use their weapon to protect our children.
There are 10's of 1000's of schools in the US. Its just not realistic. They cant afford school supplies and books. Who is going to pay for all this "training"?
