was for awhile….but all the bars still closed and the restaurants cannot serve alcohol….and most ladies and bar girls went back to Isan…Pattaya Beach is
a ghost town….

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Thanks for the update, I appreciate it. It's hard to get reliable info about Thailand in the US. I hope things get better soon.

More and more small restaurants are serving alcohol and defying local laws….these small bars have no choice if they want to survive…

I follow the "CB Media" channel on YouTube. He took a stroll down Walking Street in Pattaya. He was surprised at how many people were there so it appears to be opening up a little. Still, he says things aren't anywhere near what they used to be.

Pattaya and Bangkok finally lifted some restrictions three days ago…gyms, pools, massage parlors, malls, and restaurants have reopened..but still no alcohol served at restaurants..still a curfew from 9pm until 4am…beaches remain closed…and masks must be worn everywhere in public..all nightclubs and bars still closed….and all tourists still must quarantine for a week to 14 days….

Thanks a lot man. Sounds like it's getting a little better. Still on my short list of retirement destinations. It's really difficult to get info here in the US. Appreciate it.

By following some YouTube or Twitch IRL streamers you can watch and learn a little bit about Asian countries including
Thailand, Vietnam Nam, South Korea and Japan. Obviously you get the tourist perspective but it’s unfiltered.
Many IRL streamers also have a Discord server you can join and ask questions, get opinions and advice.
...or you can just ask Viejo Dinosaur here.
