I'm not sure the reason behind it unless you consider the ol hillbilly proverb "If it feels right, do it". When I was younger I used to drag my couch out in the front yard(along with my coffee table, end table, and lamp) and sit and drink vodka and Mountain Dew with my green Pittbull.
