Guess what guys, we are going again for a week! My son keeps asking to go every time he sees the photos from previous trip and we are also aching to go back. There is something about Aruba that grows on you, especially after you leave.
I think its the weather and beaches and the safety/peace of mind.
I know my review didn't seem good and it was probably because we went in with built in expectations. People often build up expectation and get disappointed when its not met and completely forget about the actual experience. Our actual experience of exploring the island on our own was great. Our kids had great fun too and it left a great impression on them.
As for the guy saying leaving the kids at home and saying that they don't know where they are....if you have kids I hope you pay more attention to your kids. They enjoy everything far better than adults and they enjoy it the way you are suppose to enjoy. You can learn a lot from kids if you observe and spend time with them....before they are conditioned and ruined by adults/schools.
The truth about our Aruba trip is that we had an excellent time as a family. My kids loved it. Only after we returned I fully realized it....before that I was too focused on all the letdowns because of the expectations that I built based on all the research that I did and feedbacks i got from people.
