And that doesn't even begin to touch on the mental health issues involved. Of course, homosexuality for decades was listed as a mental disorder by the APA, until the
militant gay activists bullied them into delisting it (for no scientific reason whatsoever).
You don't seem to understand that more than 15,000 people die every year from AIDS in America.
Being gay kills people
I'm sorry you can't understand, but even public health officials will admit this.
You don't seem to understand that anyone can get AIDS, not just gay people. You are talking about having unprotected sexual intercourse.
I got news for you, if you run around and have unprotected sex than you chances of dying from AIDS goes up. Or getting any STD. You act like only gay people suffer from these.
Show me where this is the case.
This still doesn't answer the question on how it affects me? My family? or YOU?
It doesn't. It never will. You can tell me it will. If I go to their wedding will I die? Please explain some more.
And Zit, when someone tells me that being gay KILLS, yeah, I will call them a homophob because that is what they are.
Being gay kills people.
That is a fact.
Zit,
Where I have problem with your POV, is that you stated that America's beliefs are rooted in a Jeudo-Christian value system. While that is mostly true, this country also provides the freedom of religion, thus allowing people believe and choose what they think is morally right or wrong.
I will say that people like you should not be criticized for a having a dissenting opinion on gay rights. While we may disagree, I believe that your opinion should be allowed be heard as freely as anyone in favor of gays rights.

My only issue with that is that this is an issue dealing with human equality, not whether or not ketchup is better than mustard. By holding and living his views on this he is harming people and making their lives more difficult for really no reason at all.
Just to be clear, I think gay people should be treated with respect, as any other person in our society, I don't think they are lesser in any way. They can even have their "civil union" from our civil government if that makes them happy (with the same tax benefits as marriage). I (and ~50% of this country) don't think that the definition of marriage should
be changed.

The reason why this argument holds no water is because the number of single family homes kids in this country come from.
