The dolphins and bills played 14 of 17 common opponents

difference was:

bills played Jax, Miami played Tenn

bills played Bucs, fins played panthers.

bills played bengals, fins played ravens.

we’re NOT talking about a big difference here
Also lol at talking about schedules when Bills lose to Jets, Patriots, and Broncos

It looks like Baltimore has separated itself from the league - prior to that I would have said the Dolphins have as good a chance at the SB as anyone else - without Phillips and now Chubb it’s not possible - they were the Fins two most important players on defense

We’ll see

Still think value in Dolphins +3.5

I don’t think either the Dolphins or Bills have much of a chance

Chiefs are being slept on

If the Bills can get the 2 seed they got a better shot than KC I think. But if not forget it. KC only has a shot because Miami is soft, Baltimore(Leemah) is Chokemore and the AFC is weak.

However, it is more complex and nuanced than just gunning for the division title since the #2 seed gets a much tougher schedule next season.

So you see, just like women, it's complicated.

I do kinda want Bills to get 2 seed to potentially see Chiefs/Bills in Orchard Park

I don’t like either team but I do think that would be an incredible atmosphere

Home field is huge for either Miami or Buffalo.

Thinking about next season in this scenario is for losers. (not directed at you Joe)

Seize the moment. Take every edge. The goal for every team in training camp should be to win the SB. Certainly for these two teams it should be now.

Agree 100% about home field

Both teams toast on the road

Home field meaning one measly playoff game.

All I'm saying is, expect some buyback on Miami if the Bills clinch before this game.

The Bills can beat anyone on the road, like they did the Chiefs. Losing 3/5 of their top D for most of the year was a much bigger hurdle to overcome than having to win on the road.

Miami, on the other hand, can't beat any contenders anywhere. They are toast regardless what happens in this game.

2 seed would mean having home field for 2 playoff games (if they won first one) and possibly hosting AFC championship if Baltimore loses in divisional round — which I believe is possible

Both these teams are much better off playing at home

Neither of them are going to win 3 road playoff games

Winning and beating anyone in an individual game...yes. Doing it probably 3 times is something pretty much only really good defenses do. Rankings wise they are top 5 but watching them play I don't buy it. They don't match up there with teams who have done it imo.

What evidence is there that Bills can win a single playoff road game, let alone 3 straight?

People criticize Lamar but at least he’s done it

Point being both teams want to win this game badly no matter what

If everything Joe, etc say is true then Bills should win Sunday by double digits . No excuses

This season the Bills either completely blew out teams (both good and bad) or they lost on the last drive of the game.

Their largest margin of defeat was 6 points (against the Bengals).

That's it.

All this despite being ravaged with injuries, especially on D.

You overestimate the baby soft Dolphins AND underestimate the battle-hardened Bills.

Assuming they make the playoffs, the Bills are an extremely dangerous explosive team nobody wants to face. If Allen is zoned in, they can win it all... anywhere.
