I just graduated in 1967 & joined the NG. I think it was in August they activated us and we were called into Newark during the riots. Got paid $22 for 3 days, slept on the streets of Springfield Ave one night. We were ordered not to react to taunts. Blacks came up to me & many others I guess looking at our name tags & writing down names saying "We'll see you tonight!" Bad stuff! Somebody yelled sniper on the 3rd floor of one of the tenement buildings and our whole squad got a few rounds of. 23 blacks were killed.

Anyway if the blacks found an excuse to riot over King & Bobby getting assasinated, I'm sure if Obama is defeated the cities will be burning again!
