While you can do that with a few of your favorite books. 1.) Some of the books (not all) dont put priority on their internet lines. So they will change when you try to bet them. Being plugged in right into their database gives us the numbers right when they change. It is also a lot easier just to watch one screen than to sit and refresh the 5-10 that you trust. In this game seconds matter.
2.) Its more about packaging the whole thing. Injuries, Wiseguy plays, Stats, Matchups, Previews, Scores, etc.

Mike, how is that a lie? Are you referring to our agreements with the sportsbooks? Exclusive agreements are commonplace in American business. We have had our exclusive policy since we first began putting offshore lines on our service, around 1994 or so. There are good reasons that we have this policy. Premium Sportsbooks receive benefits for providing us with their data, and we in turn ask for the exclusive, and they have no problem with it. If they ever decide that it would be in their interest to associate with another service instead of Don Best, they are free to do so. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement between two willing parties. So you may not like it, but there is nothing wrong with it.
So now that you have decided to enter this market we should just ignore these agreements? Heck, why don’t you come over to our office and we will just give you all of our source code also.
So again, I do welcome competition. But that does not mean I am going to help another company compete with ours (Call me crazy.)

About the injunction... I was not part of the company when that all went down. I am not versed well enough to say yet. It is my understanding that it was false and bogus claims. And it is to my understanding that you are still running around to the sportsbooks saying that we stole your list. I do know for a FACT that G&J never stole a list from Don Best. What legal battles transpired after you called the FBI, I do not know anything about. We have an affiliate program which markerters promote, and thats how we get customers.Rick - Don Best said:

If you marketing efforts did not include paying for advertising on the forums that choose to frequent so often, then why are you so upset with the arrangements we have with RX and MW. It seemed to me that if we were going to use these forums to help promote our products, that the right thing to do is pay for that right.
Unlike your service, we have authorized direct connection with all of the sportsbook on our service. They push us their line changes, we do not pull them. So to answer your question, yes our service displays every change we receive from our Premium books in real-time.
Your service pulls from feeds (most of which are unauthorized). Any programmer will tell you that a program that pulls data will always be slower than a system that is setup to receive a push.
You want to continue to accuse me of lying, but I ask you again, show me where I have lied.
