Comparing the two trivializes the seriousness of the current situation and is no more valid than comparing COVID19 to car accidents

There is a the possibility of third group of people who are going to take personal responsibility for themselves and not blame the other side no matter how severe or how overblown it is. Anyone arguing about this stuff on the internet almost certainly does not fall in that category.

If just one person died from this thing and he did nothing he'd be vilified.

Thank you so much for proving my point. Whether it is one dead or one million dead, there is a large group of people who will do nothing other than blame the other side and whine about how bad they are.
