I'll post my thoughts each week on the Gamecocks. Not saying I will always be right but I feel like I got a good feel for my team. I was scared to touch the side in this game as I felt it could go either way. I very seldom bet on them but sometimes I have a good feel and will drop some on them. Will be interesting to see how Vegas reacts to the defense only giving up 13. That number is really deceptive as we caused 3 red zone turnovers. The defense is better but still gonna have some rough games because of the lack of offense. Good luck and welcome college football!!
No they were not. If UNC protects the ball they win this game. They were definitely the more impressive team minus their awful QB. The Gamecocks are going to catch a beat down from a few SEC schools this year. They gave up almost 450 yards to an offense who's QB couldn't accurately complete bubble screens and slants.
This game is a perfect example why football is such a hard game to cap. Most games are decided by who protects the football which can be very hard to predict. But if these two teams played with the same spread again next week I would still take UNC without a doubt.
