blowout city folks, laughable that some think a wcc school (caveat: of which i attend one) can play with UNC. went to the wcc tournament in vegas a few weeks back. and seen gonzaga play multiple times. no chance, -8 or -9 is a gift. will be like an exhibition for unc. laughable to see some like krk and slimjd hype gonzaga so much; they must be working 4 the books

befor the tourney I wanted to pick gonzo over UNC. I really did, but I couldn't do it.
I hoping to see more from gonzaga in the 1st 2 rounds as well. I saw a team that was better then their opponents,..but they were suppose to be that. I was a little disapointed at what I saw.
gonzaga is an exciting team to watch, their big and can hit threes. In that sense they can match up vs UNC.
They will have to play better then they have to beat UNC, and if they play like the 1st two games they'll likely get blown out. But this is a new role to them, a good team that's a pretty big dog. UNC is prolly the best team team in the tourney. However,..they went from unbeatable...to maybe they can lose..from the start to the end of the year.

The intimadation factor North Carolina favors and carries is a major part of the battle Gonzaga has to face. A good coach will always remind and stress to his players, that the other team has to lace up their sneakers or cleats the exact same way as you do. Duke and North Carolina in college basketball, LA Lakers in pro basketball, Boston Red Sox in baseball, all have the estigma of being the elite of their respected sports. If you can every break through the mental block and overcome the reputation and intimadation factor, the playing field for the opponent becomes more level. After that, how you perform comes from discipline, heart, determination, and courage.
also this crowd in memphis will be very pro-gonzaga crowd.. some of the people rooting against unc because.. well they are unc.. Also memphis fans and gonzaga fans have a huge mutual respect for each other because of the series and memphis fans will be in ZAG GEAR that some club members are bringing over from spokane.

Agreed. UNC is a good team and Gonzaga is a good team. It's going to be a great game. I'm thinking slimjd is gonna post next that his dick is bigger than yours. It's gotten pretty bad in this thread, but the topper was the wager of "if my team wins you don't post here anymore". Damn, give it a rest. We'll know it a little over 72 hours which team is going to make it to the Elite 8. Give it a rest....
I don't think Gonzaga has that much NBA talent. Pargo, Bouldin, Downs will do nothing in the NBA. I'm in the minority but I think Daye will also be a huge bust. Heyvelt has a chance. When comparing NBA talent to UNC its not even close. I'm not impressed by Gonzaga but we'll see what happens.
