NumbersUSA's Top 10 Immigration-Reduction Grades for 2011 belong to U.S. Representatives whose efforts would have shone in any Congress. But they were particularly stellar in the fiasco that was the first session of the 112th Congress.

When thinking about the new Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives and the dreams that so many Americans had of change in our anti-U.S.-worker immigration policies, the word "carrion" comes to mind. My dictionary simply defines carrion as "the putrefying flesh of a carcass." CARRION would have been just as helpful to unemployed Americans on immigration policy as was the House Republican leadership in 2011. And carrion is pretty much the current shape of how the Republican leadership has left legislation that would stop illegal aliens from stealing jobs from Americans and that would reduce the massive annual import of new foreign workers while 20 million Americans can't find a full-time job.
In the midst of all that roadkill, the Top 10 pictured here did their best to breathe life into the legislative body in 2011.
Click on their names to look at all the actions they found to do while the House Republican leadership pretended that immigration problems don't exist. They all earned an A+ with nearly identical percentage scores.
Most of the Top 10 were 5-for-5ers, co-sponsoring legislation in all five major areas of needed immigration reform: (1) mandatory E-Verify, (2) support for local law enforcement, (3) ending birthright citizenship for illegal aliens, (4) ending Chain Migration, (5) ending the Visa Lottery. Most of these Top 10 were the lead sponsors of major bills and used their committee positions to advance the cause of immigration reduction for the sake of America's unemployed.
Look at the records of these Top 10 and start to work turning your own U.S. Representative into a champion for America's unemployed workers and their families. Go to your customized Action Board and send the faxes that are waiting there for you. Make the phone calls on your Board. Only by providing dozens more colleagues to these Top 10 will we have a chance to change the House Republican leadership to start allowing votes on immigration bills. Jack Shakely reminds us that under President Reagan, amnesty was offered to illegal immigrants. It was promoted as the fix for border trespassing; it was to be a one-time measure with strict enforcement of our laws, which would thereafter be the norm.

Twenty-five years later, we are still being overrun by those who feel entitled to decide who should dwell here, and we still have a government that refuses to enforce existing immigration laws.

Amnesty is a Sisyphean game that demands citizens push the amnesty rock up the hill again and again. It is time to refuse to play this game.

Shakely's emotional call for another amnesty ignores the reality of the numbers. California's population already exceeds Canada's; America already has the third-largest population on Earth.

We do immigrants no favor by accepting increasing numbers of them until we all starve together, a limit nature will enforce unless Americans hold our population at a sustainable level. Now that Americans plan their families, a stable population is indeed within reach, but only if Americans limit immigration.


Immigration cannot be limited if repeated amnesties allow immigrants themselves to decide how many of them may come. That's why the 1986 amnesty, which Shakely wants to replicate, was promoted to the public as a one-time event, never to be repeated.

THIS ISSUE: Is the Border Secure? SHOCKING VIDEO Shows Otherwise

Just about a week ago, we were given a video exposing a major breach on the U.S./Mexico border near Lukeville, Ariz. located about 100 miles southwest of Tucson.
We checked its authenticity with our sources at the Department of Homeland Security who have confirmed that the video is real and was taken recently.
Watch this distressing video that was first posted by Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever and see how, despite claims by the Administration, the border is far from secure.

Our DHS sources have been able to determine from the clothes the men are wearing, the straps on their backpacks, and other things they're carrying, that these are indeed drug smugglers bringing hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs into the United States.
The fence shown here was built by the Bush Administration and part of a $1 billion contract with Boeing. Amazingly, the fence was designed to do exactly what the smugglers did. The fence panels slide inside two steel columns, but no one in the Bush Administration nor at Boeing even considered welding the panels to the posts, making it easy for smugglers to get through. What we don't know is if they failed to weld along the entire length of the fence or just in some areas.
DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano has testified before Congress, saying the border is more secure now than it's ever been. Administration officials boast about fewer border crossings and the effectiveness of thousands of more border patrol agents. But where are the border patrol agents in this video? And if there aren't any border patrol agents to see the illegal crossings, then the crossings can't be recorded.
NumbersUSA is currently pushing for a Congressional investigation into this major breach of border security. The fence needs to be fixed, and Boeing needs to pay for it!

Florida Senate Committee Votes Down In-State Tuition Bill
The Florida Senate Judiciary Committee has voted down a bill that would offer in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens who graduate from a Florida high school. This is the second year in a row that DREAM Act-style legislation has failed to reach the State Senate floor. The bill was voted down 4-to-3.

Anti-E-Verify Bill Stopped in Washington State
HB 2568, a bill that would have prohibited Washington State local governments from requiring employers to use E-Verify, appears to have died. Democrats in control of the House planned to but did not debate the bill prior to the Feb. 14 deadline for passage of bills from their chamber of origin. Unless House Democratic leaders can garner a 2/3rds majority for reviving the bill an unlikely scenario the bill is dead for the year.

E-Verify's Self Check Program Goes Nationwide
U.S. Customs and Immigration Services has expanded its E-Verify self-check tool from 21 test states to all 50 states. Self Check is a free online service that allows individuals to check their worker eligibility status before applying for a new job.

Attrition Through Enforcement trumps any open-border feelings at Conservative conference
Last week, the American Conservative Union held its annual conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., offering three days of speeches from Conservative pundits, Members of Congress, and, of course, the GOP Presidential Hopefuls (minus Ron Paul). CPAC organizers are staunch supporters of free markets with leanings toward open-border policies and a more generous guest worker program. But the more than 10,000 attendees at this year's annual conference showed a preference for lower legal immigration levels and tough immigration enforcement.

DHS Releases New Data on E-Verify Participation
New Data from the Department of Homeland Security show the participation of businesses and worksites that use E-Verify by state. The data show that states with a high number of businesses that contract with the federal government and states that have passed mandatory E-Verify laws, including Arizona, Mississippi, Alabama and South Carolina, have the highest number of businesses using the online employee verification tool.

In a radio interview on Thursday with Univision, Pres. Obama pledged to get an amnesty bill done while president. During the 2008 elections, Pres. Obama campaigned to pass comprehensive immigration reform in his first year of office, but despite overwhelming Democrat control in both the House and Senate, other legislative priorities took priority. Then during the 2010 Lame Duck session, the Administration tried to push through the DREAM Act, but the bill was met with bipartisan resistance in the Senate.

We need to warn all Americans in all states that the illegal immigration invasion supporters know they cannot win a fair fight in the state legislatures. Our experiences and victory in Indiana prove they are turning to stealth tactics.

Last year Indiana prohibited illegal aliens from receiving in-state tuition after it was discovered that 300 American students were not going to college because illegal aliens were receiving that taxpayer subsidy to be in limited college seats!

In order to try and protect the stolen classroom seats for illegal aliens, which was happening without public or lawmaker awareness, Indiana State Senator Jean Leising conspired with Angela Smith Jones, a lobbyist for the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, and officials at Indiana University to sneak in-state tuition for illegals into law this week!

We narrowly dodged a political bullet and stopped Indiana from joining the official list of states that encourage illegal immigration by forcing taxpayers to pay for most of the cost of college for illegal aliens, this thanks to the alert efforts of Indiana Federation for Immigration Reform and Enforcement (IFIRE) and Citizens for Immigration Law Enforcement.

These two state groups detected the stealth plan, then alerted us and our legendary ALIPAC activists swung into action with only a few hours left. Since we have worked with IFIRE before, we skipped all of the usual verification steps and spring into action.

Hopefully, this will lead to 300 college seats in Indiana being returned to the innocent American students who have been displaced, replaced, and deprived of college seats and victimized by these invasion supporters.

This is great news considering that our team also defeated in-state tuition for illegals in Florida this past week as well!

The ballot initiative we are supporting in Maryland will prove a devastating blow to our opponents if we win there this November which we can accomplish with your support.

We ask that these state level groups and our ALIPAC supporters on the ground work to throw Jean Leising and everyone voting for the addition of that amendment out of office as soon as possible! This should be easy to do since 81% of the constituents they swore to serve oppose in-state tuition for illegal aliens.

In the 21 states ALIPAC has helped to defeat in-state tuition for illegal aliens we have never seen a fight like this one.

We were a few short hours away from lawmakers accidentally passing a major policy change when the citizens of Indiana had no clue such a vote was about to take place! On the morning ALIPAC swung into action, there was ZERO detectible press coverage on this issue.

Our conversations with lawmakers and staff members indicated they had no clue in-state tuition for illegal aliens was even in HB 1326!

After the bill died, we determined that most of the Indiana state house members did not know including the bill's creator Rep. Rhonda Rhoads.

We want to thank Senator Carlin Yoder for pulling the bill from the calender, thus killing it on the crossover deadline day in response to our calls and lobbying. Senator Yoder was the bill's sponsor on the senate side, and from conversations with staff, we get the impression that even he did not know Senator Leising had added in-state tuition for illegals by amendment in committee the week before.

The illegal immigration invasion supporters are relying more and more on unethical, underhanded, and stealthy methods.

We have won an important battle in the war to reverse the invasion of America. We have learned a lot in the last three days.

Senate to Take Action on Bill to Grant 10,500 Additional Work Visas BEFORE St. Patrick's Day!

Call your Senators and tell them the U.S. does not need more guest workers!

In a pre-St. Patrick's Day gift to the Irish, the latest news from Capitol Hill is that Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Scott Brown (R-MA) are trying to get legislation to the Senate floor this week that would add at least 10,500 annual guest worker visas for Irish nationals. The legislation could come in the form of either an amended version of S.1983 by Sen. Schumer or S.2005 by Sen. Brown, and would double the number of E-3 visa holders to the U.S. each year. The number of workers brought into the country could grow exponentially once an unlimited number of visas are handed out to the spouses and children (up to the age of 21) of these visa holders.
This legislation not only hurts Americans because it brings in more guest workers at a time of high unemployment, it represents terrible immigration policy because it carves out a special rule for one particular nationality. Moreover, to qualify for this visa, aliens would need to meet only nominal requirements. The legislation, as amended, only requires visa recipients to have two years of work experience in a particular field, OR to have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent. Employers are not required to look for U.S. workers first before sponsoring an E-3 visa holder.
CALL your Senators TODAY and tell them:

• You oppose S.1983 and S.2005;
• The U.S. should NOT add an additional 10,500 guest workers to compete with the already 13 million unemployed Americans seeking jobs; and
• Congress should not be in the business of carving out special rules for members of a single nationality. Congress should draft immigration law so that it is uniform in application and is blind to the home country of an alien applicant.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has said there are too many foreigners in France and the system for integrating them is "working worse and worse".
In a TV debate, Mr Sarkozy defended his plan to almost halve the number of new arrivals if re-elected next month.
Mr Sarkozy is trailing in the opinion polls behind the Socialist candidate Francois Hollande.
He is also competing for conservative voters with the far-right National Front party led by Marine le Pen.
The president said while immigration could be a boon for France, it needed to be controlled more tightly through tougher qualification rules for residency.
Mr Sarkozy, whose father was a Hungarian immigrant, also said he wanted to restrict some benefit payments to immigrants who had been in the country for 10 years.
Tough new rules
He has often made controversial comments on race and immigration issues, sharply dividing opinion in France.
In 2005, just before the Paris riots, he described young delinquents in the Paris suburbs as "racaille", meaning rabble.
He has said that if re-elected, he will reduce the number of immigrants to France from 180,000 a year to 100,000 and introduce tighter controls on access to welfare benefits.
As president, Mr Sarkozy has already pushed through tough new immigration rules, including the controversial deportation of Roma gypsies.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Francois Fillon caused dismay among Muslim and Jewish groups by suggesting the religious slaughter of animals was out of date.
The controversy started when a TV documentary said last month that all the abattoirs in Paris region only produced halal meat.
So far the election campaign seems to have made relatively little impact on voters.
The latest opinion poll published on Tuesday by CSA showed the Socialist leader Francois Hollande widening his lead over President Sarkozy for the 22 April vote.
It also suggested that the Socialist leader would win decisively by 54% to 46% in a second round of voting on 6 May.
