The DialIdol order seems almost right on, at least at the very top and the very bottom.
You folks are right, too bad we can take two off tonight and make Megan and Sarver go.
I would think Sarver was a bit better than Megan, but the cute vote will probably win out, and Sarver will be gone. Unless something bizarre happens, not counting every time Megan sings, she is gone next week unless the theme is 60s doo-wop.
Scott still gets the pass because of his story. Plus, ultimately, he is more talented than those two.
I think Matt got a poor response on dialidol and yes, should likely have been third, ahead of Danny. Matt is flying a bit under the radar and may deserve to be in the final four.
Danny is still the best singer IMO, that is why he can make a decent showing despite an arguably boring-type of song-performance. He can go through the motions and get through. He probably would argue, he gave it his all, but the song was just a feel-good type of thing. Not a prize-winning type of performance.
Adam shows versatility and is a deep contender. The Yahoo blog today was very accurate, except for saying Ring of Fire performance was the best ever. Still, fans of today's type of music still think that last week was risky and successful, as do I. The look tonight was great, and the only thing that I can really say, is that Adam is playing American Idol like it was Survivor. I do not think he is "Grammy" talented. He is a performer and that is working here.
I find it interesting that in the past when some contestants have had "sexy" pics on the internet, or has some secret affair with Paula, it becomes so mainstream, but the type of videos that Adam has on the internet is not really talked about or discussed on major forums.
Allison is wonderful, but she had trouble with the words in front of Smokey. Now did I miss it, or did she mumble the second verse and no one said anything. I went back and watched again, and even though it is an extremely up-tempo, I couldn't understand that part. I still think she rocks.
Lil' pays heavy tribute to Motown, but the judges want her to make it her own. Screw the judges. Maybe she could've done something more risky, but this is safe. She will end up in the top five, but maybe not in the final three.
Anoop is back to a ballad where he needs to be. He lacks the versatility, but will be around for another two or three weeks.
Kris Allen is actually the Mr. Nobody. He is not Matt G, he is not distinguishable enough even against the bottom three because. He is better and more talented than most all of the contestants, but he is not going to be getting any gold records. He's still got a month left.
