Didn't have any action on the results but I do have a question; Anyone still scratching their heads as to how Kris won over Adam? I wanted Adam to win as he clearly blew away the competition this year. Personally I thought Allison should've been competing for 2nd place. No offense to Kris, but he's no more than a performer at a county fair compared to a guy that can command a stage he shares with the likes of Kiss and Queen.

Could it be Adam was a victim of backlash from the teenyboppers, homophobes, and the Christian faith religeous organizations??

Yes Adam is more talented, but whos scratching there head when you think about it, he had the whole south and middle America backing him, not to mention all the teen girls across America. Lambert is for the gays

The look on Simon's face said it all. The wrong guy won.

It's strange how I kinda said, well, Adam is gonna win, but Dialidol had Kris winning. We now know the how the vote was broken down.

However, I was kinda hoping Kris won, then all of a sudden he won, I was like, oh, what a ripoff, now I know Adam deserves it.

Even Kris admits it. Kris did a great job, no doubt, but I also thought Allison could carry the final.

But c'mon, Adam crushed the house with Kiss. I mean, who can pull that off?

Gene Simmons is no dummy obviously and loves money. I would take Adam on the road and have him perform WITH Kiss.

He could probably make new music with Kiss and then the old rockers could make some new music.

Oh, and how gracious was this guy in defeat?

Screw KISS...Adam should tour with Queen as the new Freddy Mercury.

Now that would be the bomb...:103631605

Very simple

All the young girls, where most of the votes come from, thought Kris was cuter than Adam, and there you have your winner......

No one but teenagers and their moms pay to see ANY of these AI singers in a real concert.

They're basically glorified karaoke singers.

No one would pay to see ANY AI singer? Wrong.

You haven't been paying attention.

Underwood is the real deal...and she owes it to American Idol.

billhill and mr. smith, thanks for posting in this thread. i didn't watch the show all season, but your comments and the huge drop in odds made me put $100 on kris.

i love therx. @):)

Glad to help, and you are correct, this is a great site.

BillsGirl gets alot of the credit though, she was the one who told me about the tweens and teens in Arkansas on how they text for Kris until they pass out, and tons of other Idol information along the way.
If you ever get into a contest that is pop culture related, make sure my wife isn't involved, she will clean you out, she knows more pop culture than most know baseball.

Personally I think Adam has a little bit more talent, not taking anything away from Kris, he's terrific as well, and if you asked me after week 7 who would win, I would have said (and did) Adam.

However, I knew the final was going to be a toss up, based on the voting patterns the past 3 weeks, and truth be told, I really couldn't care less who won, but anytime you see +255 (Mon a.m.) on a +EV propostion, you grab it without thinking, you get that maybe 3 times a year at most.

Enjoy your win, it's bittersweet for me, my wife was kicking ass in a sepereate Idol pool all year with Adam, and she remained loyal with Adam yesterday, I'd trade my Kris win if it meant her winning with Adam, she did great, and like I said, without her help, I'd never would have had Kris.

Come on now. That's not what I wrote.

I stated that the no one other than teenagers (mostly girls) and their moms pay to see these AI graduates.

Underwood is the sole exception with regard to pulling arena-sized crowds, but I'd wager that 80% of those are teenage girls and their moms, with the remainder being beaten down dads and boyfriends of said girls and moms.

And whoever it was that wrote, "Lambert killed when he sang with KISS" really needs to check yourself.

The SheBar rushes back to my office last night, "HEY! You wanna see Adam sing with KISS?"

And I'm like, "If I wanted to watch cartoon characters play pretend rock n roll, I'd turn on Family Guy"

Now Santana....that was the real deal
