Which was exactly what I said... That was why I said 3-11 from the floor and like 7 TO's and making 14-19 foul shots in game 6 at home was an awful performance for him... He needs to do well every night because that is what the fans expect from great players... NIght in and night out you perform despite defenses and everything...

And I said Lebron was on his way but still not there.

You are smarter than this I thought? Did you watch the fucking game and are still that dumb? They were concentrating on Bron so much that he moved the ball to the open man and thankfully Gibson stepped up. Most shots he took were up against shot clock bail out shots. He played a sensational game 6. Get a clue or quit posting about the NBA.

Its because you call him King James before he has done anything. Call me when he wins a championship, maybe then he can be called King.

King Duncan and King Parker have a nice ring to it.

You are wrong about all of it. The depth and talent level in the league today is at an all time high. Plus the more athletic and sophisticated defenses is what you are overlooking. If you don't understand, there is really nothing more I can say, other than you are wrong. And it isn't even debatable. Picking out guys like Parker against Magic is fucking stupid. There are about 10 point guards now that are on Parkers level. How many magic's were there? There are tons of players today better than magic would be in todays game of basketball.

Magic would be the MVP in the league today if he was playing. You can't be serious?

You are completely wrong! Think what you want, but nobody is taking Nash or Parker or Kobe or Carter or Kidd or even Lebron over Magic! That would be stupid. They are not close to him as far as greatness in concerned.

And Duncan would get eaten alive by Russell, Jabbar, and Of course Wilt. Duncan is the Best Big man today and he's not close to those guys and NOBODY would ever draft Duncan over those 3 truely great players.

So what makes todays players better than players 30 years ago when it's obvious that some of the players 30 years ago were EVEN better than todays players HANDS DOWN.

Magic wouldn't be great in todays game. That quote just might have been the final straw for me here. That makes my head spin. :think2:

I agree wholeheartedly , Earvin Magic Johnson wouldn't be great in todays game ??? Thats like saying a armadillo can out run a coyote. Does my example sound ridiculous ? It should because ,Magic not being a super star in todays game is preposterous ... Not only would Magic be a dominant player,an All star , probably lead the league in assists , first team ... and yes he probably would still be the primary ball handler for his team ... point guard - if thats what you want to call it... he would definetly be running the floor ... People take Magic for granted , but he truly is one of best , the game has ever seen ... Heres a guy .. as a rookie , In game 6 of the NBA finals. Asked by his coach to step up and fill in as center for (only the NBAs all time leading scorer ) Abdul-Jabbar ... , a 20 year old rookie he was. And in the games greatest stage he gave a emmy performance. 42-15-7 .. which still to this day is regarded by the majority of critics as the greatest single game performance in NBA history. Better than Jordans heroics , more impressive than Willis Reed and Clyde Frazier , above the Big O , Russell, Wilt ,West , Zeke , Kobe , and yes ...Lebrons big game 5 included. Magic won the Championship as a rookie .. And he was the catlyst behind it. Magic introduced showtime to the league , and just like Jordan he won in college too. He beat Larry Bird and the lowly sycamores , but Magic outplayed Larry that game , similar to how he outlasted and overcame the Celtics in 2 out of 3 NBA finals. Larry the legend was quoted as saying after the Lakers beat the Celtics in one of the finals ... What can I say , Magic is the best I ever saw ... and while Lebron reminds us of Jordan , I personally think hes more of a mirror image of Magic than MIchael , He has Magics vision , and the ability to score more effectively. Jordan is , was and will hold the title for awhile as the best at putting the ball in the hole ... Lebron is the better passer though , and a better rebounder ....

Just to clear this up, I do think Magic would be great today also, but near as effective as back then, as he could no longer guard his position that well with the quicker point guards and defenses would double him more effectively down in the block when he takes his man down there. Ofcourse the guy would still be very good, but give me Kobe, Bron, KG, Duncan, TMAC, Yao, Dirk, and Wade all over him and you could make a case for some others. You could not have listed near that many back when he was playing and been correct. Just goes to show the NBA is way better now, but a tad bit overexpanded. A slow guy that was not a real good shooter is not how the game is played any more. He was creative enough to figure out a way to be real good though, don't get me wrong. He would not be guarding point guards or being guarded by point guards, so you cannote tell me he is a point guard. He would be more of a point forward like Bron.

By the way I grew up a Laker fan and Magic was by far my favorite player until Reggie Miller came along and turned me into a pacer fan. Love magic though. So fun to watch.
