damn. 500 bucks? and that's just this week. if i was that good and and confident in the season i was about to have, i'd offer something like first 2 weeks of nfl preseason for $50 or something like that. go something like
7-2 and then suck them in for the 500. of course, i guess if you made an offer like that and went 2-7, good luck getting 500 for the rest of the season. better to hook 'em from the start if you can.

Thanks for the ride last year and good luck in your future endeavors.

Someday I hope to be as successful as you were in 2008 at handicapping games.

Yeah he had a great year in college football last year. Then about 2-3 weeks before bowl season started he wrote a huge long sob story about how he "broke" his computer and might not be able to post hhis plays for bowl games unless he got a new computer. Never really asked for money for it but did tell everyone how he was a broke college kid who couldnt afford a new one. Well long story short I guess he got some people here to pay for his new computer so he could post during bowl season. That is when karma caught up with him. He got destroyed in the bowl season. Dont know the exact record but it was bad.

If anyone does purchase the plays just get some kind of confirmation that you will be able to get all his plays and that some freak accident doesnt occur to his new computer.

O.K. Help me out with this guys. He has this 78% season, but he has to basically beg for money to get a new computer? Now, I put the question before all of you. Does anyone think that this guy wagered so much as $10.00 a game last year? So I ask you Rand, did you or did you not wager on ANY of the games you posted last year? The answer is obvious, but I want you to tell all of us the answer. Even at $10.00 a game, you would have made over $500.00 wagering, and would not have had to beg for moeny to get a new computer in here.

My next question is directed at Rand himself. You claim that you were loyal by turning down job offers from other touts. NAME THEM. Right here, right now. I will contact them and either verify your story, or set the forun straight. If you were in such desperate need for money, why did you turn them down? Are you trying to sell us on the fact that your loyalty in here is worth more than your financial future? You have to beg for a new computer, yet you tell us that you turned down alleged high paying jobs. That doesn't pass the smell test. So to prove your allegation, just name the touts, and I will find out myself. A simple request to prove your story.

Guys, before investing a dime on this tout, I would really do some research on him. There are just too many stories that don't add up. His high percentage of wins, but his terrible financial problems. His alleged turning down of a "high paying" position with other touts, but his failure, so far, to name any of them. His total disaster picking bowl games last year, and his admission that basically he had no clue as to how to wager on them. There are enough red flags out there to stop a race at every Nascar track in the country.

One last thing. This "guy" may not be a "guy" at all, but a group. A few years ago, this same racket was exposed by myself and others at another forum. This "guy" allegedly went to Vegas quite often to lay his wagers. I nailed their tails when I got the guy to tell me that he had never heard of Siegfried and Roy, and had no idea where their act was playing. They had only been playing at the Mirage for over 10 years. Inside of two months, they were no longer posting, and answering a lot of questions that some of my friends who work for the Federal Government had for them. Now I am not calling him out on this, but it has happened before. Again, do your homework before investing a single penny. We don't want his clown disappearing on you after week two when he is 2-4. And demand a guarantee. The legitimate touts give them.

Strong post from BigDaddy. I had many of the same questions and I'll be curious to see how (or if) Randizzle answers them.

Randy doesnt have the stones to answer your questions-period. When I called him out last winter on another forum he frequented about the laptop he never would answer me. It was his ploy to suck $$$ out of people. I wish him luck, but the way he went about it i wouldnt have.

the laptop thing was just a test on his part to see how many people would send him money, in turn giving him an idea of how many fish he could reel in once he turned tout. the bowl season was a slap in the face to those who lashed out -- i really think the guy went 4-11 on purpose to give everyone a great big "fuck you" that talked shit about the laptop situation.

that being said, why not quit bashing? all you're doing is bumping old threads and giving him exposure. he's not allowed to post in the regular forums anymore, and the site promotion thread is rarely frequented, so why not just let him fall to the bottom of the page so he will have to bump the thread himself instead of doing it for him?

some of you are acting like he insulted your mother. he's just trying to make a buck, but it won't be from me.

more of a lurker here than poster, but have been on the boards around the net for near 10 years now and it never ceases to amaze me how this kind of thing happens. It doesn't happen often but every once in a while someone will have a "lights out" season and immediately the ignorant or inexperienced will crown him king.

Truth is I don't know Rand, didn't follow him LY, etc. and personally I have no problem with the guy starting his own website. It just never ceases to amaze me the following one can generate from one season. The internet and these boards are the ultimate smoke screen...my guess is that many here calling out Rand for being a tout are doing so simply because they are upset that they won't have free access to his picks anymore. This is missing the point. We are talking about a self admitted college student. Doesn't it seem a bit short sighted to believe that a college-aged student and part time gambler really has the experience to know what he's doing? In reading through his write ups from last year that are still viewable from last season it's immediately obvious to me that he has not been doing this for long. Almost all the stats he referenced in support of a play do not take into account the quality of competition. He also referenced home/away stats for yards per rush, etc. In college football this is absolutely a flawed strategy. Why do I think this? Because I used to crunch the same #'s and learned the hard way...well over 15 years ago! As relevant as it might seem to some I promise you, these raw stats have very little value. I'm not a pro by any means, but I've been around long enough to know that 78% or 72% or whatever his record was last year is meaningless past last year. These are impossible percentages to maintain over time, period and it's not up for debate.

I guess it can be claimed that some people have a knack for picking winners and maybe Rand is a one in a million type guy. But there is absolutely no way of knowing this after 1 or even 2 full seasons. And yet, the interest and following is instantly there...this is irrational type behaivor so it really doesn't matter as people are going to believe what they want (or hope). I've just always found it fascinating. This isn't the first time someone on a posting forum has generated this kind of excitement in a season and jumped ship the next year to try to cash in...and it won't be the last. I would just echo some of the other posters here to tread with caution and look at things with a skeptical slant. If not, it's your wallet that will suffer in the end.

Ofcourse, not everyone plays the game for long term money...short term you can find a hot player like Rand last year and make some quick cash, no question. And I'm sure plenty did following Rand in 08. The question is how do you know when the streak stops? And if you catch the train late, do you take the risk of jumping in? I guarantee those joining the "Rand Train" late last year and following him into the bowl season ended up losing a lot of money. Welcome to gambling's version of the ultimate pyramid scheme.

this was probably already covered but im not reading through this whole thread. I just think its kind of funny/mean that it was $499 from 8/3 on and on 8/5 it got marked down $100. only open 2 days and you already screwed your first clients out of $100 for being the "early birds". lol.

he must be getting desperate, his latest marketing tool is: "Guys, only 23 spots remain for the college football season."

After he received e-mails with people looking for a reduced rate (I was one of them) he said that he would reduce his price $100 to the next 50 people who signed up. The 23 spots refer to the discounted price, not the total number of clients. It's silly to say that he's getting desperate after 4 days in business and football season still being a month away...

If you've been around here for a while you've seen this before. Remember Lewis? Very nice guy,. posted losts of winners here on the open forum then went tout. Once he was tout last season he had a few winning weeks then went so cold he turned himself off. He hasn't been heard from since.

I'm sure Randy realizes he has a lot to live up to. And after the bowl season last year, if he doesn't come out strong we won't hear much after that.

would you want a college kid who is studin to be a doctor handicapping games for you? I mean if he really is a college student he will have plenty of school work let alone trying to cap games for 500 bucks a week......maybe he is taking a year off of school to do this crap..haha...sure wouldnt want him as my doctor....
