I can't believe a majority owner in the NBA wrote something like this... Sure, a lot of it is saving face - But still, could he have been THAT blindsided??? That's just crazy. Also, he's put the team in a position that it has to do something dramatic now, and I don't see a lot of moves to be made, they don't really have players that anyone wants.

Just nuts all around.

okay, he is nuts but honestly, the rest of the cavs team is pretty good.....you add one big ticket guy there they will be right in there with Miami and Orlando and Boston in the top 4 of the east....then and the Hawks will be fighting for the home seeds

what team are you talking about??? this team is terrible.... I agree with gilbert 100% queen james is pathetic what a sad display he knows he cant win being #1 so he will ride wade's coatails.... even if they win championships he now can never be mentioned in the same group as jordan, kobe, bird or magic.... he is a narcissistic loser I cant stand cleveland but what a perfect example of a good old hometown kid...

do you think lebron knew that this guy was a voodoo shaman with the ability to give a curse? if so, do you think lebron would have made a different decision?

Not both of them. Bosh could have. Offer was on the table. He turned it down. If he accepted Lebron would have stayed. So ultimately, Lebron allowed Chris Bosh to choose his team. Kinda weak.

Few thoughts.

1. Dan Gilbert is pure comedy gold
2. Cle is done, they don't have very many good players. Jamison is old and couldn't guard me, Mo relies on Lebron a lot. Varejao is a solid roleplayer.
3. Heat will start rolling people

LBJ leaving clevland had to be done he wasnt goin to win there. had he went to chicago or NY he could of built a legacy of his own that might of put his name with the greats, but today with his choice of miami he officially cost himself the chance to ever be mentioned in the same breath as MJ,Kobe,Magic,Bird. His stats will decline so much that he might not be mentioned in the top 50 of all time which is a shame because he had the skills to be top10. he took a clevland team that will win 25 games next year to 60 wins, its a shame that he doesnt have the right people around him to steer him in the right direction. what a waste of a great talent we will never see what lebron had to fully offer.

The Cavs took too long to give Lebron a good enough supporting cast.
Lebron never had a Scotty Pippen calibre player like MJ had. Or a Gasol
like Kobe has, & a younger MVP calibre Shaq like Kobe also had.
Absolutely

Waste of a great talent? I know you really wanted either Wade or LeBron for your Bulls and are bitter neither are going there, but what you're posting really is outlandish.

This guy has already won 2 NBA league MVPs, and with the squad being currently assembled around the BIG 3 .... well, he'll get his RINGS!

Contrary to what you and many here at the Rx and elsewhere believe, LeBron is willing to sacrifice stats for wins. By choosing the Heat, he's proven to me that he can be seen as a TEAM PLAYER. He wanted to play with Wade and Bosh so he would have the opportunity to have multiple championship opportunities. ALL 3 will be taking less money. Simple as that.

BTW, Pat Riley isn't finished building this team yet.

Players didn't want to go to Cleveland. PERIOD!!!! Remember Boozer even gave Cleveland the shaft and went to Utah of all places to play. Had the Cavaliers had a better GM that could lobby and make the trades for players to surround Lebron he would have stayed. I even think that had Lebron won a previous title in Cleveland he would have stayed. When Boston got Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett to play alongside Paul Pierce and they went out and got a ring Lebron knew then that Cleveland couldn't make the necessary roster changes year after year to compete for a title. I don't blame Lebron for leaving I just didn't like the "Decision" spectacle he created just to make it all about him.

Now the question is will Allen Iverson come off the bench for Miami or will Cleveland try to sell some cheap tickets and sign AI to be a scorer ala Shawn Kemp in 1997?

inc i know u have alot to learn about basketball. do u not understand what i am saying? if u want a interesting article to read go check the heats attendance records over the last 15years. they were a playoff team last year and had to put up curtians in the upper deck because nobody goes to the games.

As long as reinsdorf is the owner the bulls will have a hard time landing these nba divas he flat will not give them extra benefits such as having a 20 deep crew running around doing what they please. He will only be able to land highcharacter guys who are about winning such as duncan, durant, rose and a select few its sad but they are few and far between.

all i was trying to say is i cant blame lebron 1 bit for going to miami, shit he earned the right. he carried clevland on his back the last 5+years. but how can u not tell me his move today offically removed him from ever being named with kobe or mj? he is robin now i think he fianlly came to the conclussion that he will never be batman. which isnt a bad thing i give him props for realizing this. he could of took the extra 30 mil in clevland or 100mil more he would of made in chicago or NY in endorsements and he left the money on the table for what he thinks is a chance to win rings.

Miami will be LeBron's team within a couple of years and he knows this.

If it comes down to keeping Wade or LeBron, who do you think the Heat organization is really going to let go? They will kick Dwyane to the curb as if he never existed.

Not to mention Wade's health will be an issue far before LeBron even reaches his prime....
