I'm tempted to hedge and just give up. Whenever there's negative buzz floating around and I take the over anyways, I usually seem to get burned. This could be a movie a lot of people have been looking forward to this summer, however, when the first previews came out a lot of the crowd reports stated that it got a big reaction from the crowd.
It looks O.K.
I don't really like the look of the Predators, it's like they're on steroids and wearing football pads under their armor. Why not just stick with the origional design that worked the first time? Anyways, I feel better about my bet now that I'm not alone, the juice switched sides as you can see. Really, the only reason the over wasn't a big play for me was because it wasn't doing that great on moviefone. It did good, but not great. And it's still not #1.

I thought about hedging. I'm still thinking about it. If it made 34.5 I could even middle. But I'm just going to stick with the game plan, and that was to take the over no matter what the line was. The buzz was tremendous before this week started and it all started to go down the toilet. But I'm not gonna wuss out now, it's only 2 units.
I think it could possibly make 40, but 50 is unatainable. It would have to have done better on Moviefone.

not everyone hates it. It sounds like a lot of people are able to look past the cheese factor and have a good time.
"I just got out of a screning of AVP and i agree 100% with this review {which is a first}.The same audience reaction was at my screening.AVP is a descent flick but nothing as great as the comics or as great as it should be. <span class="ev_code_RED">There was a line around the block 2hrs before the 12:01 screening happening right now so im sure this movies gonna make its bucks back to greenlight another</span>. My advice get Paul Anderson off the sequel and get someone better.
