How is that consistent? Fans will always protect and write what is in their hearts about their football team. That is the only consistency here.

i have been to almost every Bama home game for 24 years, I would rather be #2 right now. Like coach Saban say's," does anyone remember who was #2 at this time last year? It doesnt matter right now, at all." I agree 100% with him, who gives a shit right now. The Tide has to keep taking it one week at a time

why are you always saying things negative against me man or sarcastic. i repect your opinions...did my dad bully you in elemetary school or something?

I've really got nothing against you, it just seems from your posts that you're much more involved in the forum as a fan and not a bettor. I think you could bring a lot more to the discussions with more objective opinions and points of view that could help everyone here make more-informed betting decisions.

We gathered early on that you like Alabama a lot, now you can take that a step further and start to really examine how you like them against a spread of a certain number, against the totals line, etc.

Didn't this start out to be who would be number 1 and who would win the national championship? How did this become about previous Alabama titles? Lets keep it to what the original plan was.

How did it end up talking about Alabama and their half mythical 11 national championships that occurred before anyone who is 30 years was born?

Because all conversations with Alabama fans end up this way. Many Bama fans are already talking like it's a given they are going to be in Miami

Although I am an Auburn fan I still think it is only fair Texas is #1. Bama jumped from #8 to #2 by beating the #3 team on the road. Recently the polls have allowed teams to jump for big wins. For the same reason Alabama was able to jump from 8 to 3, Texas should go from 5 to 1. It doesn't really matter anyway at this point.

I think Alabama does have a good chance to be undefeated going into the Championship game. Although you can't predict injuries, Bama is one or two away from trouble. They have been injury free so far. If Florida plays well I don't think UA can beat them. I do think they could beat UGA again.

I feel like LSU was a little overrated and is not getting the production out of it's front seven like they should. It will be a tough game but if Bama plays as well as they can they should win that game.

You can't take away Alabama's titles. It was a different day and age. Who knows, maybe if the BCS was around then they would have crowned them 12 or more times. So if Alabama loses 1 game, is a 1 loss SEC team better than a 1 loss Pac 10 or Big 12 team?

I am a huge Bama fan but I am also realistic. We still have something to prove before we are ever shoved into the title talk. We are only half way through so really it is all just talk. I think that if Texas goes undefeated through their tough schedule that they deserve to be No. 1.

and if 'Bama goes through their schedule they should be #1, or #2...they should be in the BCS title game.

Texas coach Mack Brown said today on the Big 12 coaches teleconference that he did not believe the Longhorns deserve to be ranked No. 1 in the polls.
"I don't like the way we're doing No. 1 right now; I think Alabama should (be) No. 1," Brown said, referring to the Crimson Tide, who remained No. 2 in the Associated Press media poll and were leapfrogged this week by Texas.
"(Alabama) didn't play (last weekend), and, to me, they didn't do anything to lose it," Brown added. "Alabama didn't do anything to lose it. We should not have jumped from 5 to 1."
Texas is ranked No. 1 for the first time under Mack Brown (the 2005 national championship was ranked No. 2 before beating Southern Cal). The Longhorns are the fourth team to hold down the top spot in the AP poll, following Georgia, Southern Cal and Oklahoma.
"I think there is pressure at the end of the year; I don't think there is any right now," Brown said. "We have a long way to prove that we're any good." down the top spot in the AP poll, following Georgia, Southern Cal and Oklahoma.

Yeah I have no problem with Texas as #1. They have some tough games coming up so we will see how long it lasts but if they win they more than deserve it. As long as you are in the top 2 by the end of the year you will have a shot to prove you are number1.

this is site is for fans and sportsbettors. i make bets, i just dont play everyday. thats how you go under. i posted alabamas past accomplishments simply because i can and its my thread. and i created it. so i did it for fun and knowledge. to also show for years how we bama took being in top 3 for granted and this is nothing new to us. we are supposed to be ranked number 1! thats just the way thing are supposed to be. just like hollywood is and will always be place for movies and moviestars, alabama will always be on top of college football world. we belong there. thats why i wonder why people are so schocked what bama has done so far this year! weve always dominated and played ball like that lol. its just because of PROBATION in recent years. people were also shocked we have number 1 recruiting class in 2008. thats nothing new either.

'we recruit nothin but winners here at the university of alabama'-bear bryant

-btw forrest gump also is an alabama football alumni lol
