Wow...I would have never played it at -150 but that's the advantage of catching them early. If you played it, you still got the win, so that's good.

Reminder: The first round of Champions and Europa League qualifying is Tuesday and Thursday the next two weeks. Three Champs games and 30+ Europa matches. I expect to have plays.

Record: 115.5-98.5, +14.55

CHAMPS LEAGUE
Valletta -2 -124/Lusitans, 1 unit

EUROPA LEAGUE
Gomel -1.75 +125/Vikingur, 2 units

Valletta is a regular Champs League participant from Malta, and usually makes it out of the first qualifying round. Gomel has allowed just five goals in 14 Belarus matches this season, and defense is even more important in international play.

Admittedly I got to these late. Bummer for those who didn't see them until after they started. Thursday is a huge slate of matches, starting at 8 a.m. Pacific. Here's what I have so far. Might add a few in the morning. In international matches I only play up to three units, where as I play up to five in national games. International stuff can be very unpredictable with odd lineups and ambitions from some teams.

Jagodina/Ordabasy U2.5 +114, 1 unit
Celje +.75 -113/Dacia, 1 unit
FK Baku -1.25 -120/Mura. 3 units
Tirana -1.75 +104/Grevenmacher, 2 units
Gandzasar -.5 +120/EB Streymer, 2 units
Zhetysu +2 -134/Lech Poznan, 3 units
Olimpija Ljubljana -2.5 -113/Jeunesse Esch, 3 units

Record: 117.5-98.5, +18.05

FRIDAY
IRELAND
Dundalk +1 -144/Shelbourne, 2 units

Not thrilled with the big juice or that Dundalk is talking about financial troubles, but Shelbourne is not that much better of a team here.

SUNDAY
BRAZIL
Vasco da Gama PK -103/Figueirense, 2 units

TUESDAY
CHAMPS
Valletta -1.5 -125/Lusitans, 1 unit
Dudelange -2 -109/Tre Penne, 1 unit

EUROPA
Elfsborg -2.25 -102/Floriana, 1 unit

In all three matches, I think the team depth is just too great for the home field and desire to save face to overcome. Yes, the road team has no reason to win, but especially after watching highlights of the Valletta/Lusitans match, the talent gap is far too great for home field to overcome. The macthes will be tighter, but the road squads should eventually run away.

Thursday note: First match starts at 5 a.m. Pacific and I am looking strongly at Zhetysu vs. Lech. Looks like we might get +.75 about even.

2-1 yesterday, with a pair of 4-0 blowouts. Valletta couldn't get the second goal to make it a clean sweep.

WEDNESDAY
BRAZIL
Botafogo +.5 -105/Corinthians, 2 units

Both teams have new players coming in, but I think Corinthians is still on the recovery from winning Copa Libertadores, and may be a decent play against all season.

If lavedia wins in away goals, does that mean we win the bet?

Not sure what that means but my wager was graded as a loss. I had at pick and +.5.

On a side note, I played Brazil men's team to win the gold in soccer at +180. :)
