This is not the first time in the last few years where a dominant D-line shut the Pack O down.

Niners did that to the Packers 2x 2 years ago and so did LAC , Minnesota in that brutal Monday night game - just to name a few off the top of my head

The Pack will feast on weaklings

Saints are solid. Arent they like 9-0 without Brees the last couple of years.

As long as they can avoid shoot outs they should be fine

Aren't they six time superbowl champs?

I don’t know what this is supposed to mean based on this thread but no.
But they do have one . And the 2nd best record in the NFL over the last 10 years .
Is that supposed to suck ?

That is the excuse always used against the Pat
The refs cheated for Pats or the other team sucked/choked

One game, one week Serbone. When he reported to camp he looked solid and he still has terrific hair.

GB has Detroit at home this week, then @ SF, I think after the 3rd week we will see what the Pack is made of.

38-3. A one game anomaly, or the beginning of decline or even collapse? We shall see.

For the record I think Rodgers is a great QB, top 3 in the NFL the last 12 yrs or so, maybe the best, though as an individual I think he is a prick.

The Packers can feast on weaklings all they want. They aren’t winning shit this year

Fwiw I don’t think this is a lock playoff team. Rodgers’ actions may have divided some in locker room, and he clearly didn’t prepare this off-season the way he has in the past

They're a lock that division is weak and can take it with 9 or 10 wins.

I don’t think that division is that bad
I could see Fields taking over and catching lighting in a bottle for the rest of the season

So what?

They definitely should win that division. I expect them to.

But what happens after? We all know

So therefore they're a lock to be a playoff team...You said and I quote, "Fwiw I don’t think this is a lock playoff team. Rodgers’ actions may have divided some in locker room, and he clearly didn’t prepare this off-season the way he has in the past.

SO which is it green fruit?

Why can't it be both?

I do expect them to win the division, but they are not a LOCK to. They definitely SHOULD win it though. If they do make it, they will choke like always

And yeah his actions and poor leadership probably has negatively affected the locker room, and his drama queen offseason probably did influence his offseason preparation.

So to answer you question: it's both

It's not. You know what you meant and you know what I mean. They're the clear favorite to win the division therefore playoff berth. Stop with the cheap semantics. You sound like a nagging wife.

Lol

I agree they should win it. Part of that is the other three teams in the division are pretty bad.

But it’s not impossible they lose it this year because of Rodgers — his off-season, lack of prep, and lack of leadership

You’re just salty cuz your Yankees are trash as of late!!

Avocado has the important point...there is no doubt that many in that locker room weren't very happy with Rodger's off season antics. He has never been a beloved player anyway and there is no more selfish move than to ask to get out and then slither back. Let's see if it is as simple as flipping the switch next week. I don't think they should be -11 against a division rival as that is a line based on last year's Packer team and they only beat Detroit by one point and by three points in the second game.

Well put. The team chemistry was without doubt going to be bad. Now after that beat down who knows how they’ll respond.

-11 seems too good to be true, which makes me worry

  • He looks gaunt, thinner, older in the face
  • Arms a tad less muscular
  • And the new slicked back hair-do makes him look like a stereotype lower level Russian gang member

I am saying this again... there was an interview in street clothes and he looked tired, seemed 5 yrs older than last year, and he has lost muscle mass. In full gear with his helmet on it is not nearly as noticeable.

The locker room hates him, he is a prick, is he saying "fuck it"? Has he hit that age barrier, finally, it does not always come incrementally, it comes quickly sometimes.

We shall see.

Rodgers still at the top of his game... all pro LT tackle doesn't go down , Packers beat the Bucs..that was a major liability going into that game , not Rodgers folding..

Coach going for a fg late was a dumb move also..
