All this, and he is still underrated.

Yes, Favre is the best the game has ever seen..........or at the very worst, no one has played the position better.

Best in the league? No. Currently top five? Yes. Better than the current version of Brett Favre? Yes, by a good amount.

Also, I love Favre as a person, and he had an amazing career, but NO WAY is he best of all time. I can name at least 8 I would have taken over him. From what I've seen from each QB this is my top 5 of all time.

1. Peyton Manning
2. Dan Marino
3. John Elway
4. Tom Brady
T5. Steve Young
T5. Joe Montana

Yes, I am saying both Manning and Brady are already in the top 5 and Manning is the best QB of all time, at least that I've personally seen. The guy is simply phenomenal.

Manning greatest ever ??? Hardly.

1st of all to think of "greatest ever" I would say that person would have to raise his game when the stakes are highest ... granted Manning has erased his demons and finally won the big dance, however overall his playoff stats are much lower than his regular season stats ... Montanas were MUCH HIGHER.

Peyton Manning regular season vs playoffs

Winning %
Regular season .656
Playoffs .500

QB Rating
Regular season 94.1
Playoffs 84.4

Completion %
Regular season 64.2
Playoffs 61.8

Td %
Reg season 5.6
Playoffs 4.0

Int %
Reg season 2.8
Playoffs 3.2

There you have it , every major stat category , he has done worst in the playoffs on average than the regular season ... How can you call him the greatest ever ...?

You can't

Well said...and you provide documentation.

If the NFL were to make a symbol that best represented the league...it would be a silhouette of Favre...recognized by all.

Favre is the NFL..as no other ever has been...nuff said.

1. Sterling Sharpe
2. Robert Brooks
3. Keith Jackson
4. Mark Chumura
5. Javon Walker
6. Dorsey Levens
7. Andre Rison- Super Bowl Championship season 96-97

I would say that is a respectable class of WR's and TE's ya think:think2:

You are kidding right?

Favre made all those bums as good as they were ....
when Sharpe retired , Robert Brooks came out of nowhere , when he left , suddenly Javon Walker was posting 1300 yd seasons , what has Walker done since .... NADA.

Actually a close look a Favre and Rogers stats this year and they are very similar in almost every aspect. Passes attempted, Passes completed, Average Yards per pass, Favre leads 18 to 15 in TD passes but has twice as many interceptions. Fumbles and sacks are also very close. Considering that Rogers is pretty much a Rookie this year and Favre is a seasoned
Vet, I would have to say that Green Bay's future is looking pretty good right now. jets better win now or start looking for a QB real soon !

I doubt that he's kidding. Dickey was so good they made the the Green Bay Packers children's sized uniforms of the early 80's with his number on it. I owned one.:103631605

speaking of Lynn Dickey..what Packer fans remember this broadcast quote.."chester Marcol, Chester Marcol, Chester Marcol takes it in for the score" and what happened???

Ummm...he posted an 1,100 yard season with a combo of Jake Plummer & Jay Cutler at QB.

Walker was never the same after Darrent Williams died in his lap on NYE 2006.
