Just an aside, but I've never found a site that tracks O/U's and ATS caps for tennis. There must be one out there. I have to manually go back and calculate such numbers. The flip side of that is that sometimes it reveals streaks that even the oddsmakers would never take into consideration.

For instance, a player is 12-0 Over in last 12 matches. I find the totals are more reliable than the handicap streaks b/c as players move forward in the tournament they are in, the talent level rises and they face better competition with each match.... whereas in basketball .... it's just a season and that doesn't come into play. There are other nuances that come into play.

The irony is that in tennis a non-consecutive streak (which I don't include in this thread) may be more valid than a consecutive streak, especially with matchups and etc.

Also, tennis has water-level marks with certain odds/totals, which would be somewhat equivalent to key numbers in other sports. And those numbers are mutable depending on the tournament structure. Also, there is the real dynamic between male and female performance which reflects in tendencies in the matches and also the punting odds.

Totals are straight fwd, but there is no ATS?

PITCHERS are individually hot and cold, but that is another animal..

I think for baseball totals are good... but ML.... the problem is the price variance.

If OAK is 10-0 last 10 but the ML ranges from -120 to -240, that's a no-go. The same goes for tennis matchups. Del Potro can be 14-0, but if he's got lines of -200 to -900.... no-go.


Would only accept baseball ML streaks if they've got 5-0 ML last 5 games and the prices were -120 or better. Runline would be different.... same thing. Depends on price.


Anyways, for now, totals are always good in all sports b/c almost always getting -110.
