I thought about that too, specifically a large octopus I squid

But it's probably stuck on something since they lost communication right when they were entering the area, or lost power in sitting at the bottom

Thanks 4 the Vivid Imagery @HacheMan
I know it's horrible, but all of that is happening simultaneously for those poor ppl

I'm not sure if the vessel is capable of drifting, but the only thing that could be even worse is if the thing has been constantly spinning and spinning and spinning them inside non-stop this whole time ?

The Navy Diver is not a fighting man, he is a salvage expert. If it is lost underwater, he finds it. If it's sunk, he brings it up. If it's in the way, he moves it. If he's lucky, he will die young, 200 feet beneath the waves, for that is the closest he'll ever get to being a hero.

Also, the CEO of Oceangate is one of the passengers stuck down there. In case others here didn't click and read the articles.

In response to the suggestion it could have been a creature. Think that was the situation on the beginning of the movie. "the Meg"

Whose to say Megalodon isn't still swimming around in the oceans somewhere ?

scientists thought the COELACANTH was extinct too until it was found in the Indian Ocean

The CEO of OceanGate, which is operating the missing Titanic tourist submarine, explains that the company didn’t want to hire any experienced “50 year old white guys” because they weren’t “inspirational.”

Nothing like being so woke that you kill your customers.
These people are very lucky.

Apparently the missing Submersible could only send & get messages while directly below the Support Ship

From what I have heard they could still communicate from the bottom, but the messages take a while to go through

This is what someone else said who's been in it

Power failure and sitting at the bottom of the ocean?

Hit something around the debris and broke a propeller and lost control cannot steer any longer and just floating around the bottom?

Imploded?

Another expert said today something about cot cartridges could have exploded?

But if I had to guess out of all of the things, I think they are stuck or lodged on something down there around the wreckage

The timing that they lost communication kind of adds up around when they were supposed to arrive

I'm sure it's really dark down there even with all the lighting they use

Guy might have been going in too fast trying to get them there quicker and couldn't steer away from something

All I know is if they have been down there all this time they have lived maybe one of the worst deaths imaginable with the combination of things they had to go through

Panic
Running out of air
Freezing
Out of water & food
Non-stop sickness if drifting & tossing & turning
Losing their bowels, urine, and vomit next to one another in this small vessel adding to oxygen problems

You talk about hell on earth
