Sounds like his mom is telling a different story.

The mother of the teenager who died on the Titan submersible has said she gave up her place to her son “because he really wanted to go”.

Suleman Dawood, 19, and his father Shahzada, 48, were among five people who died when the vessel imploded on a journey to view the wreck of the Titanic.

Christine Dawood told the BBC the original trip had been scheduled before the pandemic and said her son had been disappointed that he was not old enough to accompany them.

She said: “It was supposed to be Shahzada and I going down. I stepped back and gave the place to Suleman because he really wanted to go.”

I lean aunt's story

Maybe the kid told her how he really felt and was thoughtful enough to not saying anything to the parents because of father's day

I'd be willing to bet both stories are true. Kid probably really wanted to go and he was also scared. Both things can be true, just like when people go on roller coasters, ski black diamonds for the first time, etc etc.

The fear is a big part of many adventure activities.

Pictures are now being released of the mangled submersible

Doesn't look like a full-blown implosion in my opinion

I'm not an expert but that doesn't look like instant death to me

Well it was
There is no such thing as half blown implosions
It either imploded or it did not .
There was over 200,000k PSI surrounding that sub
Any breach at all from the sub = full blown implosion

The examples of implosions they have shown would mean it would be flat as a pancake

There are experts saying right now that it was not instant death

If it submarine resulted from an implosion, shouldn’t the pieces be smaller?

This afternoon I have been reading that they knew something was wrong and it started to give slowly and it didn't happen in seconds or even a minute and horrible things could have happened to them step by step.
