Cant believe I missed this match:

Italy (-1.5 @1.90) - New Zealand

Italy played well against Paraguay, and had some opportunities to score, but the Para defense played a good match to cancel the threats. Italy needs to win this one, New Zealand will be glad with another point, so they'll concentrate on the defense once again. This time Italy is going to step up against their weaker opponent, shut them out and score at least 2 goals.

i've been following all your posts and writeups but did have one question.

now that you've seen how good uruguay actually is, would you change your position on the france-mexico game? given that uruguay played more defensively in the first game, france was still able to hold a very talented team (as we saw today) to no goals and a push. i feel like the caliber of players on france expect much more, refuse to go out in the first round, and have the potential to be just as dominating to mexico as uruguay was to s. africa. i think if france is able to click a little tomorrow, their talent could put mexico away easily.

Group B

Argentina - South Korea Over 2.5 Goals @2.12

The Argentians could score at least 3 against Nigeria, but they lacked accuracy. South Korea played well against Greece, and think they'll play attacking, not like last time, but still creating chances on the offense. Wouldnt be surprised if Argentina scores 3 themselves. What i expect is an improved game by the South Americans, and another great effort by the Koreans. Expecting a 2-1 game for the Argentian side.

is this the same team as korean republic?

Hey bro nice work so far, im with you on the over in the Argentina v South Korea match.

The first round the almost all the teams played not to lose, a lot of unders hit and now the books are setting over/unders accordingly. I think in the second round we will see more open play and more goals, so hopefully we can get some nice lines on the overs.

Mexico is a better team than Uruguay. Don't let what they did to South Africa tell you otherwise. France's forwards are bad match ups for Mexico's defenders, and that could be the difference.

its tempting to switch sides or back off, but im going with my initial thoughts. sure france can click sometimes, but the last couple of games its just isnt. and domenech cant motivate them, to play better than they do. mexico should put up a fight.

yes they're in the same pool, no mistakes to be made here

argentina will make it go over themselves imo!

i totally agree with you. and the beauty part is, some teams need to win, so they are just pushed to play more open offensive type of game. gl.

i want to see an early goal by the mexicans that will allow to play from the backs, and not the midfield were the french could break out with their fast strikers.

we already cashed the over, very glad we did it with this confidence!

YTD 10-6 +1.65 units

for this round im also playing:

Spain - Honduras Over 2.5 Goals @1.80

Spain is going to crush Honduras after their loss, they will score the 3 goals themselves. With firepower in the front, a midfield that can score and a defense that is dangereous with the set pieces i think we'll see a 3-0 type of game.

a couple of more plays that caught my eye:

Slovakia - Paraguay Over 2 @2.10

All teams in this group ended their first games of the tournament with a draw, so nothing really changed. Only we're 1 game closer to the elimination, and now its the time to win to be almost sure of a spot in the next round. Both teams play strong and score from set pieces. Think they'll play more open trying to snatch a win. A push at worst imo.

Portugal - Korea DPR Over 2 @1.72

Portugal played ok, but not good against Ivory Coast. They really need the three points in this one and will fight, press and eventually score the break open the game. Afterwards the goals will flow, and with Liedsson, ChrisRo, Danny etc. they have players that can decide a match or outcome with one move. Im sure they'll play much better against this weaker opponent who played over their heads against Brazil. Aint gonna happen twice. Portugal wins this in a 3-0 type of game.

I also love this one:

Cameroon - Denmark Over 2 @1.87

Both teams gotta win this match to make any chance to qualify for the next round. Cameroon lost to Japan and Denmark both without scoring a goal! Im sure Eto'o and his buddies, but also Bendtner and his crew are eager to show they can score and win. Been a lot of Unders, so the books didnt adjust yet, but they certainly will when there are many Overs in the second round of the group stage. Thats why Im playing many Overs in the second round. Gotta pick the spot where teams need to play an open game, take risks and to score, while they're conceding more goals at the back.

Thats all for this round, I'll be around for the usual discussions about the matches and picks. Good luck everybody, make that paper!

lets keep this thing going. looking for good performances by germany and england. good luck everybody!

for tomorrow we have:

germany ml and england over 2.5 for the game. think a 1-0, 2-0 win for germany and 3-0 for england will win us some more cash!

ps chickened out to play the ml, very few draws will occur this and the next round, so i'll play big ml's if its a good pick in my opinion.
