I bet 2 dimes on a game once. My usual bets are $200 to $500. I took a hockey favorite at -2 goals EV thinking I got the best of it at 50 cents per half goal, but it turns out it was a bad bet, because the cumulative value of half-goals is higher than 50 cents each. Anyway, I sweated that game big time, and got a goal under 5 minutes, and an empty net goal with less than 10 seconds to win the game 6-3.

I don't think I'll be betting 2 dimes on a game again anytime soon... unless of course...

I don't middle because I can, it's not automatic, I don't do it all the time, sometimes I push forward with what I got already bet.

If I get -6.5/ +7.5 in NFL, am I wrong to bet hard on it, Hell no, esp. if I get +100 on the dog side at an SIA.

+7.5 +100 vs, -6.5 -110 demands a bet. I'd bet that 100k on each side if I could, then sort it out, and fine-tune it, if I had a million dollar BR, good either way if you can eat the vig.

Forums are for opinions and thought s about gambling and that is exactly what I amdoing. It is no secret I am one of the sharpest guys on any forum, that is a no brainer. We have many children here like Frankies (Angles) that have no clue.

Middling pure and simple is an insecure bettor. If you bet Detroit -2 and lines got to -7 against Knicks you have to be a fukkin real idiot prick to middle!!!!

You are on the right side with Detroit period and in the long run taking Detroit is the play. THere are some smart guys here but many that are realy fukkin dumb and insecure bettors.

Sharp gambling isn't about having balls, it's about having brains. Going back and forth essentially from 3000 units to 1 unit would, I suppose, qualify as a taking a shot -- if the target is your foot.

This whole thing about middling is like stealing is horseshit.I don't think books care that much if you middle as long as it is not to bonus whore. Most players that middle lose, very few have the discipline to only middle when odds are in favor and a lot of the one's that do lose it else where.

Middling is still a gamble, your odds have just improved.

Well to middle or not to middle, that is the question.

Buying back part of your wagers is "only" smart in the long run, naturally at #s that will allow a decent shot at catching a side or a middle. This is the reason for "Locals" dontcha know?
