Mayci Breaux was 21 years old and a student at Louisiana State University in Eunice, studying to become a radiologist. She had a 3.8 GPA and was employed by the women’s clothing store Coco Eros in Lafayette.
Her longtime boyfriend and high school sweetheart, Matthew Rodriguez, pictured with her in the image above was wounded in the attack and is expected to "survive".
Mayci Breaux was voted most beautiful in the class and was co-captain of the school’s cheerleading team in her junior and senior years.
