For all you posters who thought their was a reason Tiger was the favorite in the majors, no need to argue it anymore. Like I said last week, Rory will be the favorite from here on out.

+550 to +600 to win the British, but their was still sucker bets to be had on Tiger at 12/1 and 14/1

I think now you can lock it in

There was a reason Tiger was favored in the majors and it's because a lot of people are mistakenly betting him as if he were the old version of himself. As far as McIlroy being the fav from now on, it won't happen yet; as long as Woods keeps being in contention after two rounds and finishing in the Top 10 like he's been doing, a ton of money will come in on him. Look for Woods to be favored in the 2013 Masters.

we'll see, Rory was favored in last years Brisish Open after his win at the US Open.. If he keeps his play up I wouldn't be surprised to see Rory the favorite at the Masters

How many will he win? No idea, if I had to guess I will say between 8-10.

If he doesn't blow a four shot lead with 9 to play in the Masters he'd have three already. When you also consider the two he won are by 8 shots apiece.....skys the limit.

I think his Master's blow up last year is the best thing that could have happened to him. He will never forget that and put the hammer down everytime he is playing good. I think 10 to 15 with 5 green jackets is not out of the question.

Could be a tough year for him next year. He is leaving Titliest and going with Nike. Lots of guys struggle when they change companies.

Have no idea why he'd make such a seemingly foolish move, with his talent monies will never be an issue. That said he's 23 yrs old!! And the best player in the world - I think he'll be fine

maybe keep the Titliest driver in the bag ? Hahahaha ..... Not the club....

Equipment changes have hurt several players but none with his talent. Jim Furyk and Chris Dimarco come to mind.

Definately not as bad as going through a swing change. Padraig Harrington and Martin Kaymer still haven't recovered.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/golf/article-2227463/Rory-McIlroy-signs-250m-Nike-deal.html

And he has already earned the first slice by filming a commercial with the man who helped broker the deal - Tiger Woods.
From January, the 23-year-old McIlroy will replace Woods as the future of Nike's no-money-spared marketing machine.

:)....interesting.....

And Sir Nick Faldo, the most successful British golfer of all time, fears McIlroy may have taken an unnecessary risk.
'I call it dangerous,' said Faldo, as speculation grew that McIlroy was about to switch allegiance.
'I've changed clubs and every manufacturer will say: "We can copy your clubs, we can tweak the golf ball so that it fits you". But there's a feel and sound and there's confidence [in your equipment]. You can't put a real value on that, it's priceless.'
