Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not but I've had lots of sites ask me for this, it's a way to verify your bank account is yours.

If you feel safer doing the 2 deposit thing then I guess just do that.

I do a ton of online banking and I can promise you other then spam emails from Nigeria I have never had anyone ever ask me for my username and password of my bank account.

This is 100% not normal and I would never ever give that info to anyone ever.

Heck even CHASE bank itself does not even know my username and password.
Its encrypted in there server and no human that works at CHASE knows this except me and Ms Chop.

Giving that info to anyone is a 100% no no.

Just do the 2 deposit thing.
Thats all thats needed.

Exactly! Are people being brainwashed into thinking this is normal?

So.etching crazy will happen & their money will be gone & then who can you run to? Everyone will say to them that it's plain stupidity to give out your username & password & you're right, the credit card companies don't even know your passwords.

Its the dumbest thing in the history of Earth to give that info away.

If I were HC I would close the bank account and open a new one yesterday.

Fuck changing passwords.

To verify bank routing and account number, usually they would deposit a micro $ amt (a few penny) to your checking, then you will use it to confirm your account and make deposit. Some brokers (Schwab & Scottrade) do ask for your bank logging info if you want to clear the fund same day, but it's optional. Either way, everyone should be very careful when providing third party all access to any financial info.

this^^^

Bitcoin is also like an investment and people want to trade now before it moves against them. You guys aren't looking to to make an investment where you need to make move asap, so no need for instant verification, just go the slow rout with email amount verification. And for the guys that did, coinbase is the most reputable in USA so probably nothing to worry about.

I'd add Harry Carry to that list too, since he's actually done it and has coins. Snoop know's his shit when comes to free markets and investment shit. Just avoid AKPhildel or what ever his user name is like the plague when it comes to free markets.

Lol!! I just tell the real world truth man. If you think the govt can't or won't stop Bitcoin gaming sites you are out of your mind. Just like when it got to $1,100 and everyone said to keep buying. People have lost a shit load on Bitcoin. It's a fad.

When I first heard and was encouraged to buy bitcoins they were at $11. I kick myself in the ass for not being a techie or taking them more seriously. A lot of money was made too. And there's a limited amount, so unless it completely goes bust they will continue to have more ups than downs. Just busting your balls though AK! They might be a fad, but the way they process and move money over the internet is far more efficient than credit banking or wiring. Sure the Fed could try to shut it down, but they better get on it, cause the bigger it gets the harder it will be to stop.

You know you're one of my favorite libertarians out there! Just messing. If there was a way to deposit and withdraw easily from books regardless of the method I'm all for it! My negative opinions on Bitcoin is it being a stable or even remotely credible currency. But as an investment or method to transfer money to and from books I'm all for it!!

Yeah, me too. But I think it's a bit naive to think the Feds can't/won't shut it down if it gets to be as big and common a funder for Offshores as Neteller was. We can only hope when that time comes they will be as honorable as Neteller in getting people their money back.

Lol, I sent snoop a message like 2 months ago telling him I'm fine with ending the bet after almost 2 years meaning he could post in the Poly Forum. This was his response...

Ahhh... a social reject drunken Native American attention whore is dying for my attention. No wondering why everyone is laughing at you.

Typical snoop form, lol.

People have made a shit ton of money on BC also.

Just like people have made and lost a shit ton of money on gold, microsoft, or practically every single entity thats ever been traded on an exchange in the history of the world.

I don't think there has ever been an investment that someone has not lost a shit ton of money on no matter what it is.

Sometimes its not about what you buy. Its more about when you buy and when you sell.

2 different people can make a fortune and lose there ass on the same investment.

Well of course. But if people are going to pimp this off as an "alternative currency", it's definitely not stable. It's an investment like you said, not a real currency. But it's an investment like tulips, absolutely nothing of substance backing it but what someone will pay.

You guys are missing the whole point.
This will never have the same implications as neteller if BC gets shut down.
Neteller dealt in USD.

Bit coin is something if you do it right you will only own for a few seconds at a time.

BC is being used as a transfer tool only when it comes to sports books.
Yes I have a few bit coins that I bought a few years ago for speculation and if the FEDS ever come down on BC that money is at risk but thats a separate issue.

For the sports book side of BC none of that matters.

The only time you will ever be at risk is if you keep BC in inventory after getting paid out.

5D does not hold a BC inventory and neither should you unless you just want to keep some on hand for an investment.

But if the FEDS do come down on BC the sports books will not be in near as much of a bind as they were when Neteller happened.
