Questions about bitcoins.

Does anyone know what is the max they could deposit into 5dimes at once using the bitcoins?

Anyone able to buy a few thousand at least or have that amount of Bitcoin and then deposited no problem?

What about be the best way to buy bitcoins? Is it through coinbase? So i see 1 bitcoin is worth $636.13 now.

If I want around $3000 or a bit more, i go and buy 5 bitcoins correct? 5 Bitcoins would be worth $3180.65 but how much fees do i have to pay? I assume credit card is what most ppl use to pay for it?

Bitcoin fees. I assume the only time you pay bitcoin fees is when you want to cashout those bitcoins into cash when you sell them? So when you transfer them from your account to 5dimes or from a site to your bit coin balance... there isn't any fee? I read the first million dollar transfers are free but then it would cost after that? Is that what is meant by the transfers?

I know u cant cashout via bitcoin with 5dimes yet. But lets use another site for example. Assuming i buy 5 bitcoin for $3180.65 and deposited it into some site. Then i turned that amount into $5180.65 and want to cashout. I would withdraw to my bitcoin balance and it would be converted to whatever bitcoin its worth at the current price? And the only fees i pay is if i sell the bitcoins but if i want to use those bitcoins and deposit into another site theres no cost? And what are the fees for selling bitcoins?

Can you buy bitcoins in fractions of bitcoin? I know you can buy 1 bitcoin, 2 bitcoin etc but can you buy 2.5, 2.2, 2.08 etc or is it only flat 1 or 2 etc or 2.2 bitcoin thus 1 decimal only?

I also read ppl buying bitcoins from other ppl. Is that b/c it costs less but the risk is higher? Yet i do read once you receive bitcoin from someone, its not reverseable right?

That is weird though for them to ask that. They tried to login but my bank didn't allow them. I already changed the passcode.
Any way of contacting their cs and asking why they need your bank login info? I agree that does sound weird. I just thought they needed your account and routing #.

We need a bitcoin expert to man up and create a ask me about bit coin thread. I know guy at another forum that knows a lot more about it than me. There's got to be at least a few techie nerds here?

I'm gonna send my buddy a PM and see if he wont come over here.

Sign up with them and look at their verification methods. The instant bank verification tells you to put in login info for the bank and even asks for hint questions like mother's maiden name.

I've read some decent reviews of the service, so I was considering signing up but there is no way I feel comfortable giving out that information. My ppal accnt is linked but I never had to give out login info.

From what I've that's just for instant verification. So you could have maybe waited a couple business days without giving it out.

Yeah, they want my bank login info. I already put in the routing number and all that. I'm gonna use the verification where they deposit a few cents into my account.

A company wanting your login info & password is beyond weird, its insanity!

Might as well give them your credit cards & your licence number. This is nuts!

I know but apparently coinbase is one of the most highly rated. I already changed my info just in case.

Chop, this is nuts. The coinbase site is asking for bank login info to verify bank account. It says it's just for verifying but sounds too risky to me. Did you have to do this as well?

why not open a new account just for gambling funds not linked to your other accounts

I use Coinbase too, I gave them my account info, I trust the site. They have to have your bank info if you're going to buy coins.

I didn't have to do the two deposit thingy, they instantly verified mine.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not but I've had lots of sites ask me for this, it's a way to verify your bank account is yours.

If you feel safer doing the 2 deposit thing then I guess just do that.

Yes you would buy 5 bitcoins or whatever. The Coinbase fee is 1%

Yes you can buy fractional bitcoins.

If you wanted the equivalent of 3k in BTC you would buy like 4.72 bitcoins which would cost you $3,030.

Yes, it is an alternate way to verify the account. If you remember when you linked ppal to your bank account they made 2 small deposits...you have that option at coinbase too if you wanna go that route.

A long time ago my bank gave me an "online verification password", so that when other sites like coinbase want to verify my account I give them that passphrase in lieu of my username/password to my online banking account. So I just used that. However in absence of that I would have given them my login info.

All they are trying to do is verify, and I feel comfortable giving them that info. If you don't, that's fair enough, just do the 2 deposits.
