If they have a monster draft and Rodgers has a bounce back year then they can be in the mix in the weak NFCPackers would still be a contender if they stand pat with Rodgers. Receivers improved 2nd half of the season, Rodgers thumb wasn't right for several weeks , OL was banged up , and the defense which was supposed to be top 5 , had alot of injuries. Just a bad year all the way around. It happens. I could see a big rebound next year

eye test tells me a big no with Love.. Packers whiffed on that pick in more ways than one17 million over the cap.
I don't think they want to gut the team deeper to keep him and hope.
Spent a 1st rounder on Love. Probably time to see if they/he will sink or swim. But yeah. It's a risk. Wouldn't shock many if Rodgers was back in the MVP conversation next season.
Coming off a pretty serious injury though, I don't know. Offseason of coaches studying him too, might regress a little bitYea, no way the Niners get off of Lance and Purdy. Purdy was a QB stud. You fill 'till he returns.
Yea. I was stunned too. There's always a couple of baseball position players on every team who think they can pitch and I'll bet there are a couple of guys on that Niner team who think they can throw. Hell there are probably a couple of ex QBs on that roster playing other positions. They were down 21-7. There is no way the Niners were gonna make up that deficit by making every play a running play. They HAD to try someone else under center.I'm shocked the 9'ers didn't try something outside the box
They essentially just quit on offense, which I'm not complaining about
Not only that...But they huddled after every play and snapped the ball every time with 7 seconds or less on the play clock.Yea. I was stunned too. But they didn't. Just essentially gave up when they put Purdy back in.
Looked like they were gonna try with McCaffery.Yea. I was stunned too. I wouldn’t be kidding here.Brady to SF comment was kinda kidding. Think Brady is one year too late at this point
Both Brady and Rodgers are undesirable at this point. Both regressed quite a bit, though Rodgers a little more so IMO
Niners realistically should want neither of them if they are confident in Lance
Green Bay doesn’t want to trade him to an NFC team
You make it sound as if it's Brady's choice....I wouldn’t be kidding here.
brady grew up a niners fan and is from the bay area. Parents still there.
I think this has legs
the kicker is his kids will probably be in Miami
You make it sound as if it's Brady's choice....
Niners will have 0 interest in doing this for multiple reasons.
Vegas, Jets or his only options. Going to be rough for him if he wants to continue playing with Rodgers available also...I believe Rodgers will be more appealing to these teams than Brady.
Why i believe Brady returns to Tampa---if he wants to keep playing.
