but I knew i would be too lazy ( well, lazy is probably not the right word as i spend 8 hours a day educating the most challenging students in the country ) to spend an hour or two online trying to educate close minded people.

PLEAZEEEEEEEE :)

Just because you provide zero 'education' here doesnt mean anyone here is close minded ,in fact we seem to be open minded just that you simply evade any and all attempts to debate your points using your blanket "I dont have time , do your research " lines and "this is my last post"

no other country has tried to go to the moon.
perhaps no other country has that amount of money to 'invest' in something that wont produce instant results? the US has a considerable deficit, the public wont go for it , NASA's budget keeps going down, who exactly is going to foot the bill? the Russians failed with their N1 rocket.

The technology to go to the moon was developed by an army of 400000 people who had the brains and $ to create a bunch of materials, technologies and procedures, its just a disgrace that their effort is all called a 'hoax' now

NASA and eveyrone else already KNEW about the van allen radiation belts , its not like they 'forgot' about them , obviously measures were taken.....Van Allen himself was involved in NASA since 1953

To quote Van Allen HIMSELF (The discoverer of these radiation belts)

"The recent Fox TV show, which I saw, is an ingenious and entertaining assemblage of nonsense. The claim that radiation exposure during the Apollo missions would have been fatal to the astronauts is only one example of such nonsense." -- Dr. James Van Allen

What have we as humans gained from going to the moon? Like, what kind of knowledge? Is there something the astronauts saw/gathered & brought back that transformed our human knowledge.

Maybe they saw something up there that scared them so much that going back wasn't an option (let me say I don't believe in aliens like they display in movies)

We didnt " persuade" Dr Von Braun for nothing

Now THIS was a great coverup work, he and his team were 'cleansed' from their nazi past which they 100% HAD. He himself was very much aware of the conditions that the workers for the V2 factories had.

1) advances in materials engineering, new materials that didnt exist before , velcro (I am looking at it in my sandals right this very second) many other things and techniques
2) advances in computer science/electronics/miniaturization

thats off the top of my head, what I am familiar with

http://www.techradar.com/us/news/wo...akthroughs-to-thank-the-space-race-for-617847

In addition scientific knowledge about the origin of the moon, Earth etc , things that help with weather prediction , observation of Earth from space to asses deforestation etc etc

and of course you can go and think of how putting a rocket with precision can translate into blowing up whoever doesnt agree with you......or build superfast planes to nuke them etc etc

So we discovered good things & bad things?

I mean, you stated the destruction of mankind using weapons to destroy others.

I hope our curiousity of the skies don't lead us to the destruction of our planet.

we discovered only good things , how they are used, its a diff thing

lack of curiosity in the skies, for sure, will lead to our extinction sooner or later (plus we are more every year, need more technology to keep feeding/clothing etc all the new comers to this mad house)
