evil wins when good men dont stand up and fight

this is a truth of history. Its obvious tiz objectifies and justifies terrorism.

what an effeminate attitude

i'm not justifying anything

just explaining what it feeds on :grandmais

we aren't dealing with a country like say a nazi germany

this is a very different battle and a very different enemy

either way what i say or think is of little consequence

i'm just a meaningless observer to it all

as the agents of chaos (terrorists) and the agents of law and order and structure (western world) slug it out

And the images of 9/11/2001 continue to fade....

Except for those who lost loved ones, and the ones that care about them.

The folks killed on 9/11/01 have about as much to do with the soldiers dying in Iraq as do the dead from Hurricane Katrina or the dead in the Southeast Asia tsunamis.

Tiz I dont pretend to be a military strategist. are you?

Whether its a different type of enemy or not. Do you give up?

Do you walk in and try to talk and trade?

Do you believe for a second Iran the 4th largets producer of Oil on the planet is pursuing Nuclear technology for an energy program? Serious question.

If Churchill and Roosevelt had your philosophy, we'd be posting in German or Japanese.

The absolute silliest metaphors ever extended in my own lifetime.

To suggest that either Hirohito's Japan or Hitler's Germany could ever have taken over the US mainland is hysterical beyond belief.

Iran? But what about Iraq what were they doing to us again? Why are we there in the first place? Oh yeah, now I remember.

the only reason a lazy american with zero focus can survive bartending and otherwise playing on his xbox with his free time is because of war and dominance and most importantly the USA being the keepers of liberty.

these are the same dimmhi idiots who dont get it

well see how long the complacent americana lifestyle can survive romo...think its living on borrowed time....plus iraq turned out to be a humongous investment much much more than they envisioned.....

the problem with america runs very deep

the ebbs and flows of the cycle of history

as the good times continue for a while the complacancy builds and is met with a big dose of reality

this is now moving more into the economic side of the equation vs. the war side although the two are intertwined anyway....

well its inevitable that China and India raise their standard of living.

that does not mean USA becomes 3rd world in the process.

Will you see a greater difference between social classes here? very probable

Now you are competing on a global scale. Doesnt scare me

tizdoom, do you know anything about Jefferson and the Barbary Pirates?

Thomas Jefferson used his powers as commander-in-chief to deploy forces in a precarious position and eventually into war without first consulting Congress. Sound familiar? :think2:

He did so because Jefferson abhorred the idea of paying homage to the Barbary states -- for good reason. Unlike today's "anti-war" idiots on the left who insist on peaceful coexistence with evil, Jefferson knew better and that it was in the long term interests of the United States to confront and defeat evil -- no matter how many thousands of miles away from home.

Unlike a modern Chamberlain like Dr. Paul, Thomas Jefferson would have absolutely supported the current war in the ME in it's multiple theaters -- because confronting and defeating evil is a proud American tradition. :103631605

i'm not anti war if there is a known enemy that is a threat and is easy to take down than go for it

iraq was seen by them as that such target (well wasn't really a threat but had oil and easy target in their eyes) but unfortunately they miscalculated and it cost us alot more than they thought it would

globe hopping all over the world while chaos takes pot shots at you just asking for trouble

we basically in a vietnam type war now globally

there's no easy to define enemy

they holed up in mountains and bushes and can't tell who and who isn't the enemy

No, doing NOTHING and allowing evil to fester is what has always gotten us into trouble.

the evil grows because of the bad times that proceed them

hitler rise to power was a response to hyperinflationary germany that proceeded him

By today's loony left Democrat standards, Thomas Jefferson would have been impeached!

its always about revenge and not what is the more logical course of action to combat terror

the world is a messed up place

people are getting slaughtered in darfur yet we don't see those images over and over and over on the TV screen

india got hit by terror yesterday

you seen batman yet? such a complex overtone that many miss.....

when watching look at the joker not as a terrorist but as the terror itself....

like the joker says to batman i'm not gonna kill you, your just to much fun, you complete me.....

:lolBIG: That takes the cake...deep philosophical thoughts from the Batman movie that we can all apply to our lives.

Hand over your voter ID...do not pass go...do not collect $200.
