I thought Gabash losing when serving for the match was bad, but losing while having match points is a real kick to the nuts. Commiserations on the terrible beats.

I will keep you informed of any strong money coming in for tonights game.

In regards to Peer and Bartoli, im a little surprised that the line on Peer is that high. Bartoli had a great 4 week period recently, and I am surprised that Peer is as short as she is. Peer has failed to consolidate the form and promise she showed last year and I wouldnt be rushing to take -225 about her Bartoli.

syd, IMO-- 'Hasn't consolidated the form and promise from a year ago'? WOW, I respectfully disagree. She has 3 WTA titles in '06, she won nothing last year. She is a better a player than a yr ago, no question, much more polished, more patient. Peer has been one of the most consistent (GREAT player to be in ML parlays) Tier II player on the WTA in 2006. She has blossomed. She wins the matches she 'should' win, does it over and over again. Absolute fantastic retriever, with a heart of gold.

numbers: since March '06 she has only ONE poor loss.

good day yesterday guys, well done. I missed the party, at work. Off to work real soon again, lol.

madcapp.........Falla up a break. That kid has got game for all courts.

i like the Tojo play. He must be inspired to play if he shows up late in the calender year, desperately lookign for some form to carry over for '07. Frank has played a LOT of tennis of late, besides he is not the better player here.

My mistake Hope, and sincere apologies. On reflection, I got Peer mixed up with Sania Mirza. It must have been a long night, but it was those two girls who I mistakingly mixed up in regards to performances this year and the last.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused to anyone.

I agree with both of you in regards to ToJo. He is far too classy for Dancevic, if his body is holding up OK. ToJo has been dogged by injuries ( in particular his shoulder ) for most of the year, and should be trying to finish it off strongly so he can get some momentum going into Australia in the New Year.
Aside from a huge serve Dancevic doesnt have a lot of strings to his bow.

There was money for Becker early but it has come back for Srichy.

Safin is in my NTBBA ( Never To Be Backed Again ) club, so I will be watching this match with no financial interest. I am a huge fan of Gasquet and his phenomenal backhand, but he is still a little inconsistent for my liking. Safin has played a lot of tennis recently ( especially for him ) and I wouldnt be surprised if he takes an early exit to give himself a rest for next weeks Masters Series event. Safin does lead Gasquet 3-0 in head to head though.

ToJo has come flying out of the gates, and shows that there is no substitue for class. If this match was played last year ( when he was fit ) he would have been -600!

Santoro +5.5 does sound like a very enticing play. As the MadCapper said, most guys do or can keep it close against Davy as he is not an overpowering player, and on his day, Santoro is more than a handful. I think if you can get a 6-7 or 5-7 set from Santoro you will win that bet very easily.

SO is it Paradorn or Becker?

Whatcha say?

Two big servers, two not good returner of serves (% breaks: 15% for Paradorn, 16% for Becker, those totals are ytd ATP tour) one tiebreak is likely--if a book had over/under games total, i would take the over. Paradorn has played well of late, and has gotten past the first round in 6 of his last 7 tournnies entered. Was impressive Vs Gonzalez last week, losing 4-6 in the decisive 3rd, Gonzalez of course reached the finals. He's certainly the more experienced of the two. Becker hasn't played since Tokyo, who knows where he is. He reached the semi's in Tokyo, tho

no play for me.
